We have a new network being setup with the Ubiquiti EdgeRouter Lite-3 and EdgeSwitch Lite-24. Our data center has Cisco expertise, but this project must use these two pieces of Ubiquiti hardware. Here is the challenge, and if you have the right experience with these two ubiquiti products, you may laugh at us, and say, "that's not a challenge at all!" I am looking for someone who can advise us on the proper way to do this. Here is the scenario: We have the following hardware in this deployment. ERL - UBNT EdgeRouter Lite - Firmware 1.8 - latest. ESL - UBNT EdgeSwitch Lite - Firmware 1.3 - latest. We want to deploy these into a datacenter and are replacing existing working Cisco hardware / configuration (so we know this can be done from a technical point of view). We have one uplink to the datacenter which is configured with a public IP /30 prefix. Over this /30 (bridge) the datacenter uses static IP routes to allow us access to multiple IP blocks. On the ERL I have the following configuration. - eth0 = / (this is the uplink bridge to the datacenter) - eth1 = / (this is a downlink bridge to our ESL switch) - eth2 = unused On the ESL I have the following configuration. - eth23 = / (this is the uplink bridge to our ERL router) - eth24 = VLAN100 - / (used for admin of the switch right now, will be used for additional switch downlinks in the future) What I would like to happen …. Our datacenter routes 4 CIDR blocks for us / 26 / 26 / 28 / 26 The way I understand that EdgeOS works is that I need to assign each prefix / subnet range to its own VLAN. Each VLAN is then assigned to the ports. the problem is that I am unable to assign multiple UNTAGGED VLAN’s to the ports. I CAN assign one VLAN to one port and another / different VLAN to another / different port but this is NOT what we need. - eth1-22 should be able to access all four IP ranges either by VLAN’s or any other means. We run VMWare ESXi hosts on ports 1-22 and have VPS slices that each use IP’s spread over the multiple 4 ranges. So a server plugged into port eth1 with a master IP of lets say but with VPS slices using IP’s on any of the four ranges stated above. Please use the word BRACHIOPODA in the first sentence of your application. If you don't have the experience with EdgeOS, this might not be a fit for you. This is a simple job for the right person, we know EXACTLY what needs to be done, but don't have the experience with these Ubiquiti products to get it done. What I require is EXPERIENCE, TRUST and INTEGRITY and PROFESSIONALISM.
