What i need is to validate this model i have in mind, in terms of IT feasibility:
I am creating a platform in which, will be added 1000-2000 contents per day, i would like to work just with programmatic mostly on RTB market so with SSPs (google adex, rubicon etc.)
Let’s assume that there will be only two ads per page/content. What i would need is:
1\create automatically a tag, for each advertising position, of each new content.
2\know exactly what the income is, of each advertising position, of each content.
3\create a report inside my platform with the following data: for the advertising position X of the content N the revenues are Z.
From what i know, it will be very difficult to create tags automatically inside the SSPs with some is possible with their api maybe, moreover i wont be allowed to create millions tags so this really simple solution cannot be used.
So what i thought was to create lines item into the adserver, leaving to it, the attribution to the right ads of content, with just one tag per ad position into the SSPs
New problem is how to bring into the adserver a not cumulative revenue data but a revenue data, impressions based, from the SSPs. In general, having just one tag per position, SSPs should return just one revenue line for each tags inside SSPs platform.
Solving that problem i would match: X revenue (SSPs attribution) for the impressions displayed on ads Y of content N (adserver attribution) and get the report i am looking for.
I create , ONLY two advertising tags, one per advertising position of all pages "content" on SSPs platforms.
At the moment one content is published into the website, a line item will be created, for each advertising position of the content (2 in the example), in the adserver.
When the user go into website.com/content1 page, adserver call the lines item of the advertising positions of content1 page, the SSP let's say google adex won the auction for 1$ and display its content.
The adserver know that the paid impressions come from google, the price paid is 1$ (getting this data from the SSPs) and internally the adserver attribute that revenue to ads of contentN.
Of course it is just a thought, any other possible solution to the problem at the top, would be welcome.
At the end of the job i will need a proof of model working and a document with all the inputs needed to be passed to the development team.
