We are looking for a capable electronics engineer who can design a CMOS Board Camera based on an Aptina AR0134, MT9M021/31 or similar sensor (1.3MPixel).
The camera will operate in snapshot mode, taking an image on demand from an external trigger. (max 2 images per second)
It should have a good quality board bayer interpolation, either using a dedicated Image Signal Processor OR an FPGA. It should output data via a Digital Data Bus as RGB or YUV (RGB preferred)
The camera will be controlled via SPI, I2C or similar.
Advanced camera features such as Auto Exposure, Auto White Balance, Auto Focus etc will not be required.
For development and testing a board mount lens will be used.
At a later stage the board will eventually be fitted behind a zoom lens module, but this does not form part of the current requirement.
If you have previous experience with a similar project and can complete this design producing a camera prototype with a high quality image, then please reply indicating your former experience with CMOS image sensors and also indicate a "ball park" cost for your work.
Also please suggest your preferred sensor device, and option for color interpolation.
