Hi there, we’re a tech startup based in Paris, France. We create apps and software for mobile and desktop, across several platforms. Our main product is currently in beta (UR Browser) and we are looking for some PR expertise in the US market for our big launch (RTW) this fall. We have an in-house communications team, and will take care of most of the heavy lifting: press release, feature page, screenshots, video...the media kit in general. Our beta release was fairly successful, considering we didn’t hire any external agency! Just search “ur browser” and you’ll see around 50 articles about us in several languages, mostly in Europe. However, we’re after that sweet, sweet American user base! With development quickly wrapping up, we’re planning out our marketing strategy for our launch in early October. The last puzzle piece we need is exposure in the US—that’s where YOU come in. What we are looking for is a US-based freelancer who can: 1/ Give our media kit a once-over and tell us if we should adapt anything specifically to the American market. 2/ Get our press release/pitch under as many tech journalists’ eyes as possible—tech journalists who actually cover our beat. 3/ Measure your efforts and follow up with us a few times after the release with your quantitative results. We’d love to hear from you, specifically about how your pitch will make our product stand out compared to every other tech startup vying for media attention. The post is remote but we use Skype constantly so please expect a few calls to go over details. Good results would most definitely be followed by more work. For more info on our company and our products: Looking forward to reading your proposals. A bientôt :)

I'm a freelance marketing strategist who is helping one of my own Upwork clients with a link building campaign. I'm looking for someone competent who can help me execute part of it. If you don't know anything about PR or SEO, that's fine -- I'm willing to train if you're willing to learn. That said, I'd be happy to pay a higher rate to someone who's done link building before, or at least knows some of the vocabulary. I already have a writer creating some content. The bulk of your responsibilities would include: - Researching publications, editors, journalists, and bloggers - Writing emails to people to see if they'd be interested in covering my client's company/story (so, getting things like interviews) - Writing emails to people to see if they'd be interested in publishing our articles (aka getting guest post opportunities) - Keeping up all of those correspondences - Keeping track of all this stuff in Excel/Google Sheets - Misc. other stuff I'd like to hire multiple freelancers for a PAID one hour test job. If you do a good job on that, you'll be referred to my client who will hire you through their own account. You'd still be working directly under me, but you'll be paid by them. The client is more or less a tech startup, so bonus points if you're familiar with that world and the publications who write about that space. While the test job would be around 1 hour, the final job would be for around 3-4 hours/week for around a month and a half to start (and opportunity for this to go on much longer). I'm using my own money to pay for these test jobs because I want to screen applicants myself (rather than let my client choose someone I may not like). If I choose to work with you, you'd still likely have to be interviewed by my client (mostly as a formality) before taking on the main job so I'd want to prep you for that. I'm looking to hire as soon as possible! - Steven

SeaSack is about to launch a kickstarter campaign on it's 7 million follower platform with partner Lisa Morales, social media influencer. Our goal is to have instagram accounts with a total of 15 million followers posting during the campaign. SeaSack is the first ever beach bag, backpack which allows you to comfortably carry chairs hands free. SeaSack holds 2+ beach chairs, 5 towels + most other beach needs. While the SeaSack XL holds 4 beach chairs, 1 blanket, 5-9 towels and loads of toys. Both units have pouches on the sides for storage. For each bag sold $1 goes toward to help children receive shoes around the world. Now, I am completely opposed to interrupt marketing... popping up on a pop up and disrupting someone's experience. We want to smoothly blend in with whatever is going on. We will be heavily advertising on Facebook during premier times of the week through Facebook promotion as well as instagram promotion. Would love some other clever ways to launch this Kickstarter and get it in front of as many people as possible. We know this is going to take some serious pull. Please contact me only if you have this serious pull, platforms to execute on, channels with proven statistics and multiple examples of cases you have worked on that have experienced results. The budget listed is the budget I would like to spend advertising. Your cut: $1,000 Thanks, Jason

DyNAMC Magazine is a global online and print award winning publication focused on diversity and inclusion topics. The advertising sales representative will sell advertising space to businesses and individuals by contacting potential clients, make sales presentations, and maintain client accounts. Duties Contact potential clients to offer advertising space Explain to clients how specific types of advertising will help promote their products or services in the most effective way possible Provide clients with estimates of the costs of advertising products or services Inform clients of available options for advertising art, formats, or features and provide samples of previous work for other clients Advertising sales agents work virtually via email and phone —calling prospects, attempting to sell advertising space or time, and arranging follow-up appointments with interested prospects. A critical part of building relationships with clients is learning about their needs. Before the first contact with a client, a sales agent gathers background information on the client's products, current clients, prospective clients, and the geographic area of the target market. Because of consolidation among media industries, agents increasingly sell several types of ads in one package. For example, agents may sell ads that would be found in print editions as well as online editions.
