We are in the process of producing several briefs around 'Capacity Development in Systems'. There will be an 'overview' brief, and around 6 briefs on specific topics. The briefs are being written by different individuals, and we'll endeavor to edit them so that they have a similar tone (content-wise). What we're looking from this job posting is to help us make them look and feel like a family of products that belong together (graphically). I am attaching a draft 'brief' to give you a sense of their style and length. Note that there are 2 boxes in the brief - those two boxes will appear in all briefs as a unifying graphic element (though of course the content/level will vary from brief to brief). Please also see an example of a past 'series' we produced, to give you an idea of what we consider to be a good unifying graphic template. (link to overview blog can be found here: https://clippings.ilri.org/2014/02/03/ipbrief1/ and the series can be found here: https://cgspace.cgiar.org/handle/10568/33667/recent-submissions). Note that we do not insist on it being exactly the same (so for instance we do not need to create illustrations for all cases etc.). If you need more information or clarification, please ask. Otherwise, please indicate your hourly rate and provide links to similar past work that would indicate that you're a good fit for this job. Thanks and looking forward to your bid. Iddo Dror

We are an art business based in Australia - check us out at www.sarmarie.com.au - and are starting on a new project of taking our current artwork style and translating it into fabrics for a fashion line. We would like to start with an experiment to see how effectively artwork we capture and supply to a photoshop/illustrator expert can be converted into a repeat pattern. The results of the experiment will be part of a grant application we are applying for which will help us fund the launch of the new line. So, at this stage we are just after experimental samples - not refined finished work. Ideally, you will be someone with prior experience in this kind of task. If we like the results there will obviously be more work. At this stage, it's more about exploring ideas and possibilities than seeking a final result. The successful applicant will take one or two of our artworks and produce 3 different repeatable patterns in different styles. We can chat on skype prior to commencing the work to ensure the creative direction is clear. We'll also provide some mockups. I have attached a zip file containing 5 low res files to give you can idea of the look and feel of the artwork we'll be supplying. These are not the final files for use, but more so just an indication of the raw material. Our apologies for our miserly budget at this stage. There will obviously be much more $ avail if we gain the funding. We look forwards to your applications. Sarmarie and Jeremy

I am looking for a graphic designer for my Interior Design Resume and Portfolio. I have all the content for the Resume already generated and formatted like a traditional resume, it only needs graphic layout. I have a few examples from research that I like to pass on for reference but am also interested in exploring ideas I haven't thought of. The portfolio is for 6 projects. Each project has photos, CAD plans, text, and images that I have already organized into Google Drive. I am happy to share the files with before getting started for a better idea of time and price. I will need some simple illustration drawings to be integrated into the graphic design. I haven't done them in illustrator or photoshop yet since I didn't know the design direction or style to fit them in with. I will pass these along by hand sketch to be translated into the portfolio. There will only be 1-2 of these per project. I have about a dozen examples of Interior Design portfolios for reference on both content and what styles I like. Majority of portfolios are done by designers themselves so it's harder to find examples with strong graphic presentation. Before hiring a designer to start, I would like a flat fee bid OR hourly fee + estimated # of hours to complete. I would also like to see examples of previous work on resumes, professional portfolios, or at least work that is most in line with what I am asking.
