I'm a lead product manager at a growing Big Data Analytics Platform company in Silicon Valley. We are in the middle of building out We're in the midst of building out a number of integrations with services customers of ours use. They want to be able to easily ingest the data they need from these services to answer their analytical questions. These questions can range from "what types of users are most engaged with our product?" to "what segment should I advertise to in order to get the largest return on my marketing spend?" More specifically, these are the types of steps you'll need to do in order to complete a particular integration product specification: - Investigate the service we're looking to build an integration with. - Draft an short overview (5-8 sentences) on what that service is - Determine, does this service have an API? What type of API is it? - Write a set of user stories defining the value a user of that Data would want from access to that API - With each user stories, draft which API endpoints & objects would most likely allow that value to be obtained from integration with that API. There will be numerous integration specs needing to be completed, over the next 1-3 months. Experience performing this type of work is a large benefit, but not required. What is required is at least a minimum set of experience working with web APIs . Enough to read & understand API documentation (e.g. https://developer.zendesk.com/rest_api/docs/core/introduction), and then distill them down into a simple spec to define what our engineers will build. This is intended as to help us scale while looking for our next permanent integrations Product Manager. That being said, if you are talented at what you do, we may turn this into an even longer term engagement. I'll be reviewing & providing feedback on every specification created. Please feel free to contact with any questions you might have. Thanks! Rob
