Hi - I'm looking for someone who can help segment traffic for a sports media company. The business captures photos of sporting events and publishes game albums online for people to look at. I'd like to understand traffic per album as it relates to the following: 1) Level (Varsity, JV, etc) 2) Sport 3) Gender 4) Team 5) Photo count Our data is scattered among two sources - Google Analytics and our Mongo database - and will need to be reconciled a bit to make sense of it.

I am currently seeking a senior engineer who is able to develop our trading strategies on Quantopian and Numerai. We will pay $25 per hour and we require a dedication of 20 hours a week into our projects for the first year, which will be contract work and project-based only . However, to ensure our interests are aligned, we are willing to share some of the profit with the chosen candidate to ensure IP stays with EquitySoft and to acquire a long-term commitment to EquitySoft. During the first year, i.e. now, our budget is CAD $850 per algorithm (both budget and experience will be considered for the position). After the first year, this individual is preferred to be able to commit more time to EquitySoft, and we can re-negotiate compensation then. We expect that the candidate be working at another firm currently already (or in the process of studying for a Masters Degree), and treats this position as a part-time position for the first year, and transition into a more fuller time position in the long run. Each of our algorithms MUST be completed within 2-3 weeks - hence we need someone who is experienced and knowledgeable. Our requirements are as follows: MUST: - be based in lower mainland BC Canada (e.g. Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, Downtown Vancouver) - be able to legally work in Canada - know how to code Python and C++ - have or in the process of completing a Masters Degree in Finance OR Masters Degree in Financial Engineering OR Masters Degree in Computer Science coupled with experience in investment firms or CFA PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO THOSE WHO HAVE: - prior experience in developing trading algorithms - prior professional experience at a registered investment firm or financial institution Please let me know if you are interested. Kind Regards, Sean Chan

I need someone with a strong math and analysis background to help with regression analysis and causation analysis. I have a number of advertising channels and I am trying to determine the ROI of each ad. If the user buys after clicking on an ad, we can calculate the revenue in Google Analytics and with Facebook ad manager. The challenge comes from ads that change behavior but do not generate a click or after clicking the ad the user does a search and enters the site from our homepage. Sometimes a person might buy on a different device or not allow cookies. I have a lot of data and the ads and the amount spent on ad changes often. I need someone that can look at the data and help determine how much "off line" or revenue that is not attached to a specific ad, comes from each ad. I believe desktop ads are more likely to generate "off line" revenue, but I am not confident. This will help determine a multiplier we can use in setting a bid for each ad. Must have a strong math background, must be great with visualization and good with Excel. SQL and Bigquery are a plus.

We have about 50 GB of files in JSON and XML data that represents 1.5 million records. It represents the financials over 5 years for several hundred thousand US companies. Objectives in order of urgency: A. We'd like to move the data into an easy to analyze format (e.g., SQL), and run a series of data visualization / analytics (e.g., show revenues over 5 years for different segments of companies). B. We'd like to have the ability to run different analytics in the future, ideally without needing external help on each one. C. In future, we'd like to make widgets that show that data online and allow doing different cuts. Importantly, we won't want to spend more than $1,000 on the actual tools themselves so that means we can't use expensive tools like Tableau, Periscope, etc. We need someone who is expert in ETL since there's some heterogeneity in field names in the records across years, etc. and in data mining/visualization.

I want to find someone to build a quantitative method / model to support my integrated strategy execution / risk management method. My book about the method is here https://www.amazon.co.uk/Risk-Based-Performance-Management-Integrating-Strategy/dp/0230301320/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1473781586&sr=8-1&keywords=risk-based+performance+management I have the concept - now I need someone to create the math. This model would have to address the needs/requirements from a regulatory perspective (Banks, Insurance and Asset Management) and from a Board level perspective - overall are we taking enough risk? Are we operating within our risk appetite? Are we likely to deliver our strategic objectives? There is a lot here! I would want someone to build the model and write at least one whitepaper, one presentation and a minimum of three blogs to explain and justify the approach. Ideally, I would like to find someone for a passion for this space and who would be interested in starting a long term collaboration, including writing one or more chapters in my next book.
