use a publicly available data set, define a mining problem, then use at least TWO different mining algorithms to mine the data set. Compare the performance of the two models, choose the better one, and interpret your findings. Teams will write a report summarizing their findings. To look for a data set, you can go to kaggle, com or UC Urvine machine learning data repository. There are plenty of data for you to choose from. Make sure you read files that describe the data before you engage in mining. To mine, you can use Rapid Miner. If you do use it, make sure to have a screen shot for EACH mining model for your report. The resulted confusion matrix and performance parameters need to be shown in your report. In your discussion, focus on your findings and their significance, both mathematically and practically.

Hi I need to hire for a long term project a specialist in Rapidminer. This person will first develop and send me two scripts. As I'm not working with open data, I cannot hire someone to run the analysis, neither share my material. About the task: I have a big pile of html profiles of professionals, something similar with CV's. Also, I have a "training material", so I know what words people use in specific types of skills. For instance, people use the word "team player" to refer that they are good working in a team. Next, I need a script where I can insert this training material and run the analysis on a new data set. So the result will be an excel sheet where the software will give the probability of that file has each of the categories in the training material. A second, and maybe easier task, is to do cluster analysis: Read my dataset and classify according to similarities. In order to apply, please answer the following questions: - What is your experience using Rapidminer (what other projects and analysis have you done before)? I'm asking this as I want to know what other analysis you can provide me if we continue working in the future - How many hours/price for developing these two scripts? - Have you done something similar before? Can you show an example? Thanks

I need to perform several lucene queries on a column of text within a CSV. The output must include a binary output that indicates if the text within a cell contains or does not contain each lucene search string. Ideally, I would like to be able to replicate this process in the future for non-technical analysts. For this reason, I believe a connection between Solr and Rapidminer would be a user friendly option, but I am open to other methods for executing this. Thank you very much!
