Low cost, wireless, micro-electromechanical (MEMS) sensors are emerging on the market and can be used in a wireless sensor network (WSN) for structural health monitoring. We are hiring a developer to build a customized WSN for vibration monitoring. The R&D engineer will be responsible for developing prototypes of a compact, low-cost, low-power, wireless vibration sensor node based on Texas Instruments CC2650STK SimpleLink™ Bluetooth® Smart SensorTag. The sensor node is a node in a WSN that is capable of gathering vibration and motion data, performing some processing and communicating with other connected nodes or gateways in the network. The wireless sensor node should include an accelerometer, a micro-controller, a signal transceiver, an analog-to-digital converter (ADC), memory, and a power source, all housed in a protective packaging.
