Company and Goals: Pareto Learning LLC aims to provide the best, online training for engineering professionals and students online. We pride ourselves on developing our training using two principles: 1. Presenting the most effective and pertinent information that our students will actually see in the real world. 2. Continuously improving our courses based on student feedback. Our company goal for the upcoming year is to increase sales of our successful “GD&T Basics” program and increase our market share in the technical college market. We also plan to create two new engineering training products to pair with our existing offerings to establish a strong, marketable skillset for our students. Position Summary: The Sales Representative will lead the development and execution of our routine sales processes. The focus will be on securing leads in the academic collegiate field while supporting corporate sales. The Sales Representative will report to the Owner to generate leads for the training course and work on establishing contact with key decision makers. Primary Responsibilities: •Lead Generation - Research and seek out key partnership opportunities for our engineering training course, with a focus on technical schools and universities. Find the key decision makers for each account and establish contact with them to discuss the benefits of our course. •Meeting Setting - Follow up and maintain contact with leads to assess the fit of our course within their curriculum or program. Work with leads set meetings with our owner and the client decision maker to work on closing the sale with technical information. •Website Sales - Pursue and follow up with corporate leads from our website. Answer questions regarding course sales and benefits. Handle invoicing, proposals and payments of our customers and track sales pipeline in CRM from lead to close. •Sales Organization - Maintain all customer information within CRM (to ensure new leads are being added and pursued in an orderly fashion. Establish organizational methods, processes and documentation to continue to improve the sales process. •Sales Process Development - Leverage the first sales calls in order to study feedback and document what works. Maintain a focus on refining our sales approach and tighten the product/market fit over time. •Other tasks as needed for sales and marketing duties. Necessary Competencies: A Love of Sales and Working with Customers – We are looking for someone who is eager to get out there and make connections. We want a go-getter who really enjoys talking with people and finding out how to best help them. The ideal candidate should be good at establishing strong relationships first and selling second. The ideal candidate will know that our product truly helps our students improve their career and is excited to convey this benefit to our potential customers. Proven Sales Experience– We want someone who has been out there making sales and knows the ins and outs of establishing a relationship with a customer. You should know when to push a good lead and when to back away from a bad prospect. Most of all, we want someone with a good track record of qualifying leads into prospects and turning prospects into customers. Diplomatic Assertiveness – A certain degree of tenacity and assertiveness will be needed to secure meetings with key decision makers. The candidate must be able to push for access and always continue to follow up. Proactivity and enthusiasm – We need a high achiever who exhibits passion and excitement regarding tasks and company goals. You will need to have a can-do attitude and the confidence to act independently when needed (with company goals always in mind). Communication skills – The successful candidate is one who is able to speak and write clearly, articulately, and concisely. When it comes to our customer correspondence, we need someone who takes the time to do it right the first time. All communication must be proofread completely and must accurately convey the content. We also may need you to create processes and documents to ensure that the improvements we make are always tracked. An ability to learn and use technology- We use Asana, Pipeliner and other online programs to assign and organize tasks. You will be expected to adapt to use of this technology and any other means we adopt for communication.
