Hourly - Entry Level ($) - Est. Time: 3 to 6 months, 10-30 hrs/week - Posted is a SaaS website. Our site is not too bad, but know that we need to give it more style – more soul – better UX. We know a bit about CSS (see our index page for some nice css) and would like to use it make just the right number of changes to give positive feedback on the experience of using our service. We are looking to engage in a larger project of improving the UX of the site. In order to meet the right person to work with us we are posting this smaller task. Our service sends mail (through the postal service). We have a “button” to Send a piece of mail. When this happens, both the user and we are very happy. The user has gotten a task off their desk and we are making money. Hooray. It’s a party! But it doesn’t look like a party. It looks like a plain old click to move on to other boring work. We want to change that. Are you the right one to do it? We would like to take inspiration from the Twitter heart here: The heart has an expanding circle and explodes into particles that look fireworks. Now THAT’s a party! Except we start with a rectangular button, so the circle should be a rectangle (of similar height/width ratio). I think it should be ok to have the particles still radiate out in a circle. Oh and the button is really an <a>anchor</a>. Or maybe it should all radiate out of the envelope in the text in Send in the <a>. We’d like the graphic to be triggered by just adding a class to the button (or to the envelope). No frameworks and no js in the rendering. And if you have thoughts on an alternative or variation, we’re willing to hear them. We look forward to hearing from you.

We have this website powered by AngularJs and google cloud endpoints. It is not responsive :( We would like to change the template of that website to use this one which is responsive :) It is a quick job and you do not need to create any new features. Just change the template. Any thing you create must be responsive. The frontend as well as the backend code is ready. The backend is written in java and it is hosted on google cloud. You will not need to write any backend code as the API is already there so if you are not good in java don't worry. If you need any API changes, you can request and they will be made by our backend developer. The fronend is angularjs and browserify. This will be your primary focus. The template is pure html and css. We need the markup and css of the old site to be replaced with the markup of the template so that the site looks and feels like the template. Also any javascript that may be needed to make the site behave like the template needs to be ported. Otherwise the business logic side of the javascript should remain the same. Upon qualifying for this job, you will be given access to our git repository so that you can clone the project. You will be working with other developers on this using git vcs. The primary mode of communication will be skype. We will give any assistance that is needed to the successful candidate to get them up to speed.
