Help Desk Functionality Using the solution, end users initiate a request by visiting the Helpdesk site and completing a Help Ticket. Built in Knowledge Base and Support FAQ pages can simplify the process of researching solutions to help desk requests or allow users to research answers to their own questions. Users can then check back to see the status of any outstanding Service Requests and can also choose to escalate their Service Request to a higher priority, if required. Project Management Functionality The Projects Management portion of the site helps manage lists of projects and their related budgets, tasks, issues and milestones. This template allows users to enter project information, including estimated start and end days, project health, project owner, percent complete and budget information in both currency and days. Each project team member can enter project tasks, issues and milestones and associate those to a specific project, indicating the start and end dates, which can be shown on a Gantt chart, Calendar, or in list format. Bug Tracking Functionality The Bug Tracking portion of the site helps software development teams collect and track bugs in their code. The template allows bugs to be logged by both end users and members of the development team including collection of supporting data such as Reproduction Steps, Related Bugs, Categories and related screenshots, documents or other files. Team members can either assign a bug owner when logging a bug, or can leave the bug to be assigned at a later time. Unassigned bugs are viewable in a single list and are also listed on the template’s home screen. IT Asset Management Functionality The IT Asset Management portion of the site helps teams manage new IT asset proposals and track the status of existing IT assets. Using the built in workflows, an asset manager can approve or deny requests for new assets made by others within the organization. Once purchased, properties for the asset can be uploaded including purchase price and date, location, condition, manufacturer, model, current owner, and retirement date. In the period after acquisition, asset managers can return to the site and update the location, assignment, management, and other information for each asset, allowing a centralized location for a company to track IT asset information. Activities Performed in this Template The following examples show the various ways we anticipate this template will be utilized in a typical organization. These are some of the functionalities and the architecture must support enhancements and additional features as and when requested. Self-Help Library: Provide end users self-service functionality through FAQ and searchable Knowledge Base of relevant articles. Keywords and related articles can also be added to knowledge base articles, enabling simplified searching of solutions. Service Requests: Assignment of service requests to Help Desk personnel. IT Staff can take ownership of a service request, assign it a priority and save updates with the inline editor feature of Windows SharePoint Services. Enable end users to create service requests, assign a priority and check back for updated status. End users can create detailed descriptions of the issues that need to be resolved. Helpdesk Performance Statistics: Service Representative Managers can view a dashboard of the service department’s performance, including overall service request performance, priority and average resolution time in days. Bug Reporting: Allow all authenticated users with access to the site to log a new bug, listing information such as what it takes to reproduce the bug, comments related bugs and severity levels. Bug Processing: User specific dashboards of bugs the user opened and bugs assigned along with requirements on when the bug fix is required. Bug Performance Statistics: Workspace Managers can view a dashboard of the Bug Processing department's performance, including overall bug processing performance, priority, severity, and more. Asset Proposals: Enable organizational users to propose the requisition of new assets in a centralized location. New asset proposals can include recommended manufacturer, description, purchase price, model number and comments on why the asset is required. The requestor can input an owner’s username, which allows that person to view the pending proposal on the main dashboard. Hi Good day I want to develop a system on Access or whatever should suit my requirements best with the below features & descriptions Before listing my requirements i would like to introduce the nature of our work We have projects with only one client, and this client should provide us with all required materials to finish the required job. And we are receiving the materials against each projects, as an example we will receive materials X for project 908365, and materials Y&Z for project 908366. However we may release materials X to project 908366 or material Z to project 908365. Also, occasionally we receive only partial quantity of what we should receive, as an example if we should receive 5 sets of material A, instead we receive only 3. So, my obvious aim is to have reports for each project receiving, releasing and those to be received. I'm listing below my requirements and it should make my needs clear. 1 - The system should be build on a project wise, supplier and client is the project itself. Usually in inventory systems we have client & suppliers and in this case I will be forced to register the project two times as a client and as a supplier which I do want to avoid in here. 2 - Different inventories can be created as needed. 3 - The system should have users & permissions: Admin user with full permissions, Receiver user with the permission to only entering the materials in the system & Releaser user with the permission of only releasing the materials. None of these users can delete any record without the permission of the admin. Each action in the system should be recorder in a log which can not be deleted. 4 - All users can generate full reports against each project or materials, 5 - Project reports should show what are the received materials for this projects and what are the released materials for it as well. Also, it should tell by whom approval it have been released. 6 - Materials Reports should show the balance of each materials and to whom they have been released. Also, we can have a report of the materials which have to be requested as we did not received them. 7 - Each record should have the following columns: A - Item Code B - Item Name( Should be generated automatically just as VLookup in excel) C - Date Of receiving D - Quantity Assigned for this project. (For this particular material) E- Received Quantity F- Quantity to be claimed ( = D - C ) G- Checklist# ( Checklist a report contains all these materials, it should be uploaded in the system) H- Date of entering the record" Should be generated by the system itself". 8 - The entry screen should be displayed in two different ways: A - By project, means you will enter the project number then it will give you a list to fill all columns mentioned in point#7. B - To fill a list which contains in each records column for " project number " besides all columns mentioned in point#7. 9 - The releasing entry screen should be as sub-point A in point 8. 10- For receiving & releasing a template to be designed in order to make it ready to be printed. We have Sharepoint subscription so if we can make all this online it will be better, however system should accept entering the records offline then it should synchronised/ Updated once it has the internet connection. We would like to go with the fixed price so please let me have you budgetary cost along with your comments, Thanks,
