Hello all. I am trying to find someone who can hopefully create for me a desktop program that will work in Windows OS, in which after the Tracfone is plugged into the computer via USB data cable, that it will recognize that it is a Tracfone and will transfer my text messages over to Notepad automatically.
The reason I am requesting this is because I like to save my text messages and my Tracfone is limited on space. It only allows, I believe, up to 500 text messages at a time. The manner in which I save my messages is also important to me. I would like for the date and time of each text message to also be saved along with the name of the person who sent it or I received it from, if possible. If name of person cannot be recognized, then it will add the number before each message. I will give a few examples below. I would also like to have all messages saved from the Inbox, Drafts, and Sent Folders within the phone.
Joe: Jan 28, 2016 @ 11:44 pm - I can certainly understand where you are coming from.
Mary: Jan 28, 2016 @ 01:20 pm - Thank you very much for your help.
(304) 999-9999: Apr 10 @ 12:03 pm - Awesome! Thank you for the information.
Me: Jan 28, 2016 @ 11:40 pm - I have had concerns in the past about these kind of issues.
Me: Jan 28, 2016 @ 01:13 pm - Here you go. I hope this is what you were looking for.
Me: Feb 19, 2016 @ 02:00 am - Okay, I think I got it now.
I think for the desktop program itself, I would like it to stay simple. It can just be a small square box that comes up after the phone is plugged in and is detected, and it can have 3 tabs. One for Inbox, Drafts, and Sent. I can then just click on Inbox and it will transfer all of those messages to a new notepad for me in the above format, which I can then save to the computer and be able to delete from my phone without worry.
I can try to give more details on the ideas I have. If you know of a way that can make this easier for you, please let me know. I am willing to negotiate how the messages can be saved, etc.. but I would really like the above format to be used.
I believe the Tracfones that I use have the same Java operating system. I am not sure exactly which one it uses but I can tell you the Tracfone model(s) if that will help. Any updates that you would like me to test out, I am very glad to do as progress is being made.
I would really like this to be made for under $400 total, if possible. Do let me know if you have any questions or concerns or need something verified. Thank you for your help. Have a great day! :)
