Scope of work, To provide detailed engineering and design drawings for proposed automatic welding unit used in the assembly of cable ladders. The parts to be welded (referred to as cable ladder/s) consisting of 2 longitudinal side rails, in either 3.0 metre of 6.0 metre lengths, placed parallel to one another, and connected via transverse ‘rung section’ in 4 different width options, 150mm, 300mm 450mm & 600mm. These rungs are positioned at 333mm centres. This equals 9 transverse rungs for the 3.0 metre lengths, and 18 transverse rungs for the 6.0 metre lengths. The side rail sections vary in height from 75mm up to 150mm and have horizontal flanges that vary in width from 13mm up to 32mm, however the material thickness only ranges from 1.2mm to 1.6mm. Indicative drawings have been provided for all cable ladders, except for the 150mm high side rail section (to be supplied later) The design focus should be centred around simplicity and the use of mechanical processes combined with pneumatics as opposed to robotic engineering. With this scope in mind, a thought is to have the welding torches mounted in fixed positions that travel vertically to weld the rungs to the rails, then release (transversely) after each cycle via pneumatic cylinders, the welding jig them moves horizontally to the next weld position. This is just an idea, and not prescriptive, the designing engineer is free to provide the best and most practical solution to ensure an economical build cost for the actual weld unit, as well as the most basic design so that parts are not subject to excessive wear, technical obsolescence and can be easily replaced with spares parts. Components for the welding jig and sprockets required for indexing (movement) can be of any practical design, because assuming these will be made of some form of steel, all can be easily made. Where electric motors or pneumatic cylinders are required, reference should only be made to the actual size / technical requirement. A very basic concept drawing has been included to give a brief understanding of what is required, however this should be viewed as nothing more than broadly indicative of the concept. Your quotation for this project should be inclusive of all engineering data and detailed design drawings suitable for manufacturing purposes, as well as animated file to show exact working model. To be considered for this work, you must be able to demonstrate previous experience in similar engineering solutions, including welding jigs / fixtures.

The file that he created seems to have some tolerance issues and the two parts do not fit together when I print them on my sla 3d printer. I have attached an stl of the part. Hello, We have a really exciting project for a new phone cases, the cases will be made from aluminium and will be CNC'd then have a TPU insert. We want to take the styling of Lamborghini and transfer this exquisite style to a premium CNC'd phone case. We are looking for someone that has exceptional product design skills but with an extensive knowledge of the capabilities of manufacturing especially within CNC and Injecting TPU. We want two concepts these can be in the form of high quality drawings or 3d rendered models. we would need 3 angles of each concept - the concepts must be able to be manufactured within the limits of CNC. the TPU insert must be able to be pushed through the frame and protect all of the high impact areas (corners). The sides would ideally need slits or slots that the TPU can also be pushed through to increase the grip. We would like to have a chat before the project goes ahead so that we can really aline on expectations and get the best out of this project. Thanks!!

I need a drawing completed in Solid Works of a machine that will use a conveyor to move aluminum extrusions into a series of saws that will scribe a cut on one face of the .045" wall of a maximum 1" x 1" square extrusion. There will be four saws on a 9 foot long bridge arm that is held by two bearings - one on each end of the bridge. The bridge spins thus propelling the blades by use of a single motor on one end of the machine driven by a belt. A worker places the extrusion onto the conveyors belt making sure it flush against a traveling fence - which is physically attached to the conveyors belt. The conveyor will take the product through the blades at a 30 degree rise so gravity ensures that the extrusions remain against the tabs carrying the extrusions into the saws. Just as the extrusions reach the saw blades, two wheels, one on each side of the bridge, apply pressure to the extrusion so-as to keep the aluminum extrusion in place. Once cut, the extrusion exits the pressure wheel and the conveyors belt circles back under the machine. There two separate diameters of extrusions that will be scribe cut. One is 5/8" square, the other is 3/4" square, and the last one could be 1" square. When a worker starts a job he will need to move a lever to either the 5/8" position, the 3/4" position, or the 1" position. This will manually elevate the saw to the correct height. A sensor will detect the location of the lever and ensure that the machine has been set up correctly. A set of LED lights will also illuminate on the bridge indicating where the worker needs to position the saw blades for that job. A Sensor on the bridge detect the LED's illumination and sends feedback to the machines controls that the worker has correctly positioned the saws. Once all sensor feedbacks have detected that the machine has been set up correctly, the worker is then able to depress a foot peddle and the conveyor will start moving. This machine should be on lockable casters or feet that can be quickly lowered to the ground for safe operation. The size should measure approximately 3 feet x 9 feet. This compact size will ensure that the machine can be stored against a wall in a garage when not in use.

Hello Everyone, We are interested in a designer / modeler that can help with modeling some conceptual / final designs for various projects. The projects are mostly mechanical in nature. Some drawings could be provided or simple sketches using Fusion 360. Since we know Fusion and use it for productions we would need all final files imported into Fusion or created in Fusion. We are currently interested in seeing some work from fellow CAD/Industrial designers. We are wanting to work on project rate vs hourly, but our open to the right person/team. We have one current project that needs completed and 2-3 more over the next month. If you are interested in applying, please send us at least one example of work created in CAD and your skill set in creating in Fusion 360 or importing final designs.
