I'm looking for a product designer to assist in developing a way of creating a Golf Ball with a unique core in the middle. The object I want to place in the core isn't round, so needs to either be cast into it's own unique round casing and then placed directly into the centre of the ball as the other outer cores are added, or something similar. The object is also cylindrical in shape, so will need to be weight balanced to get the best possible even weight distribution. The current production method involves poring a liquid into a mould, and then adding layers over top of that. I need to sit the special inner core into the main core so it is centred and perfectly balanced in the middle. In terms of the actual materials used for the golf ball I am very flexible. I'm not too worried what it is as long as we can prove the core is completely centred and that the process can be easily scaled up to mass production. Here are some references to the materials used in golf balls - http://sportsnscience.utah.edu/2012/08/20/golf-ball-technical/ http://www.chemistryislife.com/the-chemistry-of-a-golf For more info on what the core actually is, please contact me and be prepared to sign an NDA.
