I'm looking for a foley artist to collaborate with on putting together sound effects for the stop motion work I do. This here is an example of some gifs related to my work http://www.joey.qa/joeyfosterellis and this is a link to the video where those gifs came from http://www.joey.qa/video-ar-don-go/. I'm interested in putting together 15-second clips from this video and removing the sound and adding just sound effects. Making it funny and a bit more enjoyable for 15 seconds of consumption. The song itself works best as a whole and if I want to share this in small doses I'm thinking just sound effects might do the job. I'm interested in exploring the idea.
Due to the amount of submissions I've asked people to provide a 3 to 5-second sample, or more, of what they would do. You can download the video here at https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ohidh9eya5unzgj/AACJz351yXkOraWkxDNuDijsa?dl=0
After having received one I wanted to give you my critique of it to better illustrate what I'm looking for. They started at the 3:42 mark and ended at the 3:59 mark.
"Cool.... I like where it's headed. Not a huge fan of adding music. I really want it to be completely music free kinda like those "no music" music videos (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f6ZSZbNfSpk). I want this to be somewhat of a critque on digesting already digested social media such as how I feature the gifs in the video itself. The six seconds you chose included some ethnic imagery from India, a cup of coffee, etc... I think everything should have a cultural sound equivalent. For example what sound do you think of when you see coffee? Folgers jingle? The guy dancing within the ping pong ball.... what song is that trapped within? The ping pong rolling in? The ping pong box moving in? That ethnic imagery, what sound does that conjure? I think everything needs to be exaggerated in a bit over the top kinda way."
