Our company offers professional drafting, engineering, and design services throughout Southern California. We're looking for a qualified draftsman, and designer that has a Chief Architect program on their computer. This draftsman would be required to convert hand drawn measurements into Chief Architect files. We have the Chief Architect X8 program, so we will be able to open and read all previous versions (X7-X1). This candidate would receive photos, and measurements of the projects, which will be used to create an existing floor plan, site plan, foundation plan, roofing plan, cross sections, elevations, and 3D renderings. Any and all revisions to the design shall be corrected by the candidate contracted to create the model. After a design has been approved by the client, construction documents will then be required. The candidate will receive local building department requirements, check lists, examples of previous projects in the area from our company, and any additional information in order to create those construction documents. The candidate will be required to include on their plans, all relevant information necessary in order to obtain a building permit from the local authorities. Examples, and documents shall be provided to the draftsman. The draftsman shall include the instructions and markups from the Structural Engineer on their set of plans prior to submission to the local departments. Any and all corrections received from the local building departments after submission shall be corrected by the draftsman contracted to create the plans. This position will be contractual per project. More than enough work is available to the right candidate, but in order to qualify you must first pass a performance test. 1) You must first take the attached hand drawn measurements and turn into into an existing floor plan, and site plan. 2) If the floor plan, and site plan are accurate, you will then receive the pre-approved design that you must use to create the 3D Design. 3) You will then create construction documents using the design. 4) Afterwards your abilities and quality of work shall be evaluated for future projects. Payments for phases are as follows: Phase 1: Existing Floor plan & Site plan: $20.00 Phase 2: 3D model and Design: $20.00 Phase 3: To be determined If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. durand_jackson@hotmail.com

I am looking for an architect / engineer who can draw up plans for me to submit for a building permit based on some publicly-available pictures and partial plans of homes built by the Rural Studio affordable housing program: http://www.ruralstudio.org/initiatives/20k-house http://20khouse.ruralstudioblogs.org/tagged/DuelingPorches The thesis is to design a home that can built for $20k including contractor labor and profit. Where I am building this is probably not possible, but focusing on affordable materials (corrugated steel, plywood, dimensional lumber). Everything must be built to Florida building code or better. I do not have photos of everything, obviously, but I believe that an experienced engineer can probably fill in the gaps. Please quote fixed and/or variable price depending on how you prefer to work. I can provide more information on the building permit process if necessary.

I need help designing a shelter type product that can either be a dome shape or some other shape. Having it be ergonomic is a big plus. There would have to endpoints with stakes built in to hold the shelter into the ground. The structure would have to be very collapsable and fit within a 12" diameter. Priority: 1). Collapsable 2). Set up has to be very easy. If there is way to literally unfold/shake the structure and it unravels to its end shape, this would be ideal. But I understand if this is not completely possible. I can talk more about it with the designer that is hired. Thank you.

7 pages of structural calculations from the attached document need to be converted into Excel spreadsheets. Correct structural formulas need to be specified in the Excel, so that if I change 1 value, other values should get recalculated. This task requires knowledge of structural engineering, so that you could understand the data and create appropriate formulas in Excel. Page numbers 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 73 from that attached document need to be converted (see the dropbox link below). https://www.dropbox.com/s/ltdlj8qyxi7j21l/825_Tamarack_Structural_Calculations_20160327.pdf?dl=0
