I need some assistance to research the perfect ski resort and then hotel to host a group travel (personal development conference) during February 2017, specifically Feb 24-27 (the group would arrive Feb 23 and depart Feb 27).
What is required for this job
1) Initially research what would be the best resort to hold this event in. It could be Aspen, Vail, Sun Valley, Steamboat Springs, Squaw, any of the above or another. The important things are a) it has to have a host of ski and non-ski activities (thus apart from skiing and heli-skiing, options for non-skiers, so for example dog-sledding, skimobile, even bobsledding), b) we do have a focus on it being intimate and exclusive (thus a massive 600-room hotel in a resort is out of the question, and we would much prefer an exquisite boutique hotel in a smaller resort)
2) once we agree on the location, research and identify the best top-quality hotel (4*-5*) in which to host this event. I am talking about negotiating the best rate for a group of about 15-20 people, rooms, meeting room, F&B and associated activities (we will do about 3 during the week). One final dinner to be organised as well.
Of course, someone who has experience/knowledge about US ski resorts in Colorado, Idaho, California etc. would be ideal. This will mean actually being on the phone and negotiating with hotels rather than just pure and simple web research.
Overall group budget will of course be revealed to winning bidder.
Ideally, prefer to have a fixed budget since depending on the person you will take more or less hours to do the research, make the calls etc.
