Good afternoon, everyone!
We are looking for several people to translate on a daily basis (Monday through Sunday) small, simple and interesting articles from English to German. The subject matter is TV news, entertainment and movies. Your English doesn’t have to be perfect, because we don’t need a word to word translation. The goal is for the translated German version to be well-written, grammatically correct and sound authentic to any German reader. For that reason, you should be a NATIVE German speaker.
You should also be able to translate at least 10,000 characters with spaces (or more, if you want to make more money) on daily basis (6-7 days a week, depending on your choice), i.e. at least 70,000 characters with spaces per week. If you are able and willing to translate more – please, let us know. This will be even better, because our daily volume is big and will be divided among several translators.
The project is going to be a long-running one, so you will get a stable job with guaranteed weekly pay. We are specifically looking for people who are interested in stable and long-term engagement. No one-day ponies, please!
The pay rate is $2 per 1,000 characters with spaces (which is about $6-6.5 for 1 page of standard word text file). The pay rate is not extremely high because the articles for translation are simple, we don’t need literal translation, and you will get a guaranteed daily workload and at the end of each week you will be making very decent money.
Again, we cannot stress it enough – only native German-speakers should apply. Your German should be perfectly fluent. This will make your job and ours much easier.
