We are in search of an interpreter for an upcoming trip in August 2-4th and plan on traveling to Seduva and Panevezys (Possibly some other locations). We have a lot of information to go off of with family documents, but we would greatly benefit from hiring a translator/guide to go with us. We need someone who has a vehicle and a license. We are willing to pay for food and gas on top of an agreed upon hourly rate for translating. We are staying in Vilnius at a hotel. Please let me know if this is possible. Thanks Thanks! Scott

Hi, it is a diary of 164 smaller than A4 pages (roughly max 200 words / page). This job is for someone good at English and also with the flexible deadline for the purpose of the rock bottom rate - thus you are welcome to compromise on the turn around a lot but on the quality for the sake of the lowest rate. This job laid on the shelf for years and lay just a bit longer if the rock bottom rate is not achievable at this time Please see the sample document attached as to the comlexity of reading the hand writing, though it is a pretty straightforward and clear (please ignore the starting sentence of the page as certainly you should have read the preceding page before being able to work out what half a sentence means where the hand writing is cut off on the edge). It is appreciated where the hand writing is a bit less legible to read, the context will help you and when you read from the start. The hereby given budget was only to 'tick the box' as the job posting required to fill the box, though open to all proposals and so to not waste your time, I expect the rate to be around $3/page. The job spec: 1/ 164 pages, including the photos; 2/ upon translating into English each Lithuanian version page needs to be written into the diary, say starting to translate Lithuanian Page 15, you write in the English one [Page 15], like a heading, and continue writing in English, then after you turn to the next Lithuanian page, i.e. 16, you again write in the English version [Page 16] like a heading and continue writing the English, it is so to easier cross refer the Lithuanian version with the English. With your proposal, may you please provide: 1/ the cost for max 33k words (thus no surprise the wholesale proposal is expected as one does not get Lithuanian-English to this extent often); 2/ the sample translation of the hereby attached page, so to have it as the quality assurance template against which you will deliver the whole work; 3/ your confirmation you will be fine to sign the non-disclosure agreement to keep the diary information in full secrecy. Many thanks.

Hi, it is a diary of rougly 160 smaller than A4 pages. Please see the sample document attached as to the comlexity of reading the hand writing, though it is pretty straightforward and clear (please ignore the starting sentence of the page as certainly you should have read the preceding page before being able to work out what half sentence means where the hand writing is cut off on the edge). The hereby given budget was only to 'tick the box' as the job posting required to fill the box, though open to all proposals. There are 160 pages, some with photos. You would also need to cut and paste the photos from the original scanned document. With your proposal, may you please provide: 1/ the cost to translate per 1000 words and 2/ the sample translation of the hereby attached page, so to have it as the quality assurance template against which you will deliver the whole work; 3/ your confirmation you will be fine to sign the non-disclosure agreement to keep the diary information in full secrecy.
