Livable Lents combines a communitywide survey and pledge action to connect Lents
community members to their neighbors, local organizations, small businesses, and city and
state bureaus, all in the name of creating a more Livable Lents. This summer, Livable Lents is
knocking on 3,000 doors, tabling at community events, and distributing the survey online.
Livable Lents is partnering with Portland State’s Institute of Sustainable Solutions to utilize the
power of community mapping to convey resident concerns, needs and priorities to policymakers
and nonprofit organizations. More than 300 Lents community members have taken the survey
already with more than 1,000 doors to go.
This summer, we are aiming to get input from nonEnglish speaking residents in Lents
by distributing translated surveys, tabling at communityspecific events, and holding community
