We are looking for an experienced symfony developer to join our team. New forms needs: -yml file structure understanding The contractor will be creating forms by creating a yml file. Their will be a 2nd yml file to handle translations. If a translation is needed, it will be provided. ------- Custom views needs: -twig file structure understanding -html5 experience -Experience with wkhtmltopdf recommended but not required The contractor will be creating custom layouts to display information from a filled out form/report. The system will pass an array to a twig file to create the view for the user. The contractor will be making these twig files. The custom view will be displayed as a web page and will also have a 2nd version to download as a pdf. Their is a 2nd twig file to handle the pdf view. This conversion happens automaticly by the system though wkhtmltopdf, knowledge on how wkhtmltopdf renders html page is helpful. ------- General: We use symfony framework for the web application. A form configuration from a couple years ago is attached, not updated but a very good idea of what is required.

I am looking to build a relationship with a team of developers who can help me finish an educational gamification suite. I will be selecting 3-5 developers, preferably teams with a variety of skills. I will select based on evaluating performance on smaller audition tasks . - The first task will be documenting that you can set up the development environment - The second task will be that your team can produce a "Hello world" component I will pay $150 USD for each of these audition tasks ($300 total). I anticipate that these tasks will take about 30 hours. Please plan on completing them within one week. Please plan on completing them with little assistance from us. Completing these tasks will document that you have the skills required to work on this project. Not everyone will be invited to complete the second task (I will create a separate posting for Task 2). These are audition tasks and I won't receive a lot of value from your work. However, this will help me identify programmers who are capable of working on this project. Those who perform well in the audition will be included in a small pool of developers to work on a grant funded project over the next 1-3 years. I expect successful applicants to work full time for me at an hourly rate we agree upon 30-50 hours a week (typically 40 hrs/wk) as the project demands. You will need to document that you have access to the following required environment: a. PHP 7+ b. PThreads installed c. https:// with ssl certificate d. valid domain name Task 1 - Setting up the development environment a. Gain access to the Canvas LMS (either install the open source edition on a server or access an existing install) b. Import a Canvas course I will provide c. Install OctoberCMS (Instructions on OctoberCMS site) d. Install the Project Delphinium plugin from GitHub (Instructions in GitHub Wiki) e. Create an LTI page within Canvas displaying a page from Project Delphinium (Instructions in GitHub Wiki) f. Create a local host development environment of Project Delphinium (Instructions in GitHub Wiki) g. Display live Canvas data in a component in the localhost environment h. Fill in any gaps you find in our documentation with documentation of your own Deliverables: 1. Demo Project Delphinium in Canvas LTI 2. Demo Project Delphinium in OctoberCMS 3. Access Canvas data via the Project Delphinium Roots API including Modules, Submissions, Users, Analytics, and Assignment Groups, c. Display a print out of the data in a Canvas LTI and in a localhost environment via Project Delphinium d. Format the data 6 times using raw data, twig, D3, jQuery, Angular, and Bootstrap e. Demonstrate your ability to use CSS to make the display attractive f. Use the OctoberCMS Ajax framework to make a REST call to Project Delphinium and display the data g. Fill in any gaps you find in our documentation with documentation of your own. Deliverables: 1. Demo your component in Canvas and localhost 2. Provide access to Canvas and OctoberCMS for me to evaluate component 3. Provide source code for component via a pull request to a unique branch in the Project Delphinium GitHub 4. Provide code and suggestions for improving the demo component (Vanilla) 5. Provide contributions to documentation For both tasks I will be evaluating quality of work, timeliness of work, amount of assistance required, and quality of communication. Future work on the project (not included in these two task postings) will include: 1. Refining existing and/or building new gamification components in the Delphinium framework 2. Enhancing the Delphinium framework 3. Building APIs 4. Finishing a rules engine 5. Creating documentation and demo videos All work will be done closely with me and involve weekly or bi-weekly stewardship meetings.
