We are putting together an iPhone application and are looking for help with some of the design work. The plan is to produce fully-featured and fully-designed wireframes/prototypes for the developer to use to build the application.
Currently we have produced prototypes for all the core screens in the application using Just In Mind, but these were made mainly with the aim of specifying the basic structure and layout of the app. There are about 35 unique screens in total (including popups etc).
We are looking for someone to take these prototypes and do the following:
• Come up with a (possibly multiple) theme/style for the application. As a minimum this would include the following:
o A well-defined and aesthetically pleasing colour scheme, with details of how this would apply to common components in the application (e.g. buttons, lists etc).
o Typography details – what fonts should be used for various parts of the application (headers, subheaders, paragraphs, button text etc).
o A suite of icons for the various sections of the application.
• Provide advice and suggestions on how the existing prototypes could be tweaked to give a more natural and intuitive user experience. E.g. make layout changes where appropriate.
The job is therefore a mix of graphic design and UX advice. In return we would expect the following:
• An updated set of prototypes (either using Just In Mind or another tool) that showcase the theme/style and incorporate any layout/UX improvements.
• The exact specification for the theme(s), including colour RGB codes, font family names and vector image files for the icons.
When applying please provide a cover letter giving details of your experience (including details of the design tool you intend to utilise) and examples of previous work you have done/your portfolio. Please also provide the fee you would charge for the work.
