Our servers live on AWS using ELB, routed to Varnish, routed to our web front-end. The only thing that Varnish is doing is determining, based on the URL coming in, how to re-write the URL and forward it along. I’m assuming we can do this with an httpd.conf file and cut varnish out of the loop. Then we can more easily utilize AWS-ELB to spin-up multiple EC2 web servers as we have peaks in our loads (right now varnish is a bottleneck). We believe this to be a quick job with someone who knows Varnish and Apache config files, in particular. Frankly, we can give you the Varnish rules and if you really know Apache, you'll likely be able to re-configure the config file to give us what we need. Could lead to on-going projects.

I'm working on setting up a high performance Varnish/Nginx server on CentOS 6.5. I've successfully gotten Nginx & Varnish up and running and serving web pages but I'm not seeing a lot of performance improvement over previous Apache server builds. GTMetrix identified issues with Gzip compression, Accept Encoding Headers, and Adding Expires Headers. I'm looking for someone to help me get this set up but also to teach me how to set up this system properly in the process. I have international calling available and can work over Team Viewer.

A recent move to Amazon AWS has cause some issues with some usability user and admin issues. 1. Ensure Nginx and Vanish Cache are working together - Issues have been identified with customer log-ins, and admin log-in and function 2. Ensure all admin functions are stable - current issue with saving process has us thrown off the admin, or in to dashboard 3. Ensure all browsers - Safari, Explorer, Mozilla, and Chrome are working for user log in, and checkout. 4. SEO - Identify the issue with Amazon and google. We have several cases where google has show we were offline, when in fact the site was taking orders. Fix issues if they exist 5. Create a front end dashboard process to restart NGinx Cache 6. Confirm backup on R1SoftwareLicense is working correctly 7. Repair issue with staging server re-directing.
