I'm looking for an artist who can do some VFX work for me for my current film. The film will be shot mid-Fall and will enter post production late Fall early Winter. I'm looking for a vfx artist who can make my talent disappear off camera as smoothly and emotionally as possible. Here's what I mean, as the two characters in my film are catching up on some lost memories, one of them begins to slowly disappear since his "link" isn't strong enough to let him stay longer. So he slowly (he's a spirit) begins to fade while they say their final goodbyes and I want this moment to be very memorable. I need it to drag but not painfully. I want this moment to feel like that time you hugged someone but didn't want to let go but HAD to. THIS is what I want. The music will be beautiful and my actor's last lines are, "I love you, Josh. You've always been my greatest--" before he's pulled back into the spirit world.
So I know I said it in the posting title but this is not some simple "teleporting man" effect. Well, maybe it's simple to do but it's certainly not a simple moment.
I need your help and would like to hear ideas.
