Neveo is an audiovisual solution to reconnect families and the elderly people. The visual system send the webcam of the family from their computer (webapp on Chrome / Safari / etc.) to the elder's television (smart TV).
The audio is sent by phone fixe line.We want to adapt our application to IPTV setupbox. Unfortunately, they do not support WebRTC Flash player or codec we use today for the video stream into the smart tv.
But, it supports MPEG-4 / AVC. Today, we don't find an live encoder MPEG-4 / AVC that could be integrated into our webapp. So we look for a solution to convert our VP8 signal ( webrtc) or flash encode to MPEG-4 / AVC.
-> Be able to stream a webcam from a computer browser (with Flash or WebRTC, or ??)
-> Transcoder the stream to an MPEG-4 / AVC
-> Use one server instance to broadcast all webcams users simultaneously, all on a single instance (Typically a media server allows Any number of play instances for a stream name, aim only one publish instance Within a URL scope Hence. , the stream name must be Chosen Carefully to Avoid conflict with --other users for the call or conference with gold Existing Recorded files.)
-> The system to be notified when a video call is made / shuted down / .. is already setting up. Our need is just sending and receiving video streams properly.
Can you send us your feel about this transcoding? Have you ever made a transcoding with wowza or other?
- Do you think this will be possible with a single instance
Thank you in advance for your answer!
