Hey there, I'm Micah – I'm the founder of The League of Moveable Type (https://www.theleagueofmoveabletype.com) The League is the first open-source type foundry, dedicated to building a community of typography lovers and teaching people around the world how to make and work with fonts. - - - I'm looking for a virtual assistant who can help me a few days each week, hopefully long-term. I'll need help contacting & communicating with lots of English-speaking people, so excellent casual, friendly, non-formal English is extremely important. You don't necessarily have to have experience with design & typography, but being generally interested in the topic is a huge plus! I could use help with a handful of tasks, things like: - Finding relevant potential sponsors and contacting them to try to set up meetings - Contacting venues & restaurants to ask for space/food/beverage donations for monthly events - Finding great content to schedule for social media posts - Making lists of & contacting top-notch designers in the industry to schedule for podcast interviews - Updating the team handbook with checklists & processes for important tasks - Occasionally a variety of other small but extremely helpful tasks – hopefully you're excellent at learning new stuff when you have some guidance I really value positivity, resourcefulness, a strong work ethic, and a detail-oriented mind.
