Hi - we're looking for a male actor to play a character in an animated video: 23 year old male. Chinese/Vietnamese. He has slight accent.
The animated video is for a training video. We have three criteria:
1. You must be Chinese/Vietnamese/Malaysian. We aim for as much realism as possible in our video, a Chinese/Vietnamese/Malaysian person has a different voice. You must be fluent in English and although you have an accent, you have great enunciation.
2. The most important criteria is your acting ability i.e. you must be a trained actor (not just have a good voice), you're good at interpreting scripts and making lines come alive. Although it is a training video, we aim for 100% realism to make the training genuine.
We expect the work will take between 2-4 hours to complete.
We ask actors to do three takes of each scene. The output is an audio file. You must have your own recording equipment and studio.
We're a start-up with objective of helping people become more successful in their career: http://www.movesandshakes.com
As part of your application, it would be great if you could send us a recording of you performing the lines for Will below.
Scene: Night. Will and his mother are in a car. His mother is driving. It is night time, with city lights and traffic (mostly blacks and whites).
Will’s Ma: Did you get the job?
Will: [Hesitates] No.
Will’s Ma: Ah ya, so hard to get a job now. You should have become a doctor just like all your brothers.
Will: But I would not be happy, Ma. Don’t you want me to be happy?
Will’s Ma: William! You will be happy when you do what I tell you to do.
Will: OK, Ma. I don’t want to argue with you. What do you want me to do?
Will’s Ma: [Angry] Too late, now!
