Are you crazy-passionate about words? Wow, do we have a lot of work for you! We build web and mobile programs for college & university and K-12 clients across the US, and we need solid, detailed, organized people to help manage the content in our programs and serve as our primary liaison with writers (and of course, you can create content for our programs, as well - if you're a rockstar writer). Key responsibilities: Take handoff following client Discovery meeting and create an outline package in concert with writers for client to review; Traffic-manage writers and editors to ensure content keeps up with schedule; Respond to and fulfill client content customization requests; Play “fill-in” for departing, weak or tardy writers; Fact check and line edit work as it comes in from writers; ensure that material is formatted and appropriate for client review; Ensure client changes are accurately made; Oversee development of “harvested content” to ensure deep content experience for our Dynamic Discovery Engine™; Ensure expected topics for each client are reviewed and uploaded into program; Provide new writers with “foundational” content and other resources they may need to successfully complete a project on time and at highest possible quality; Draft program messaging periodically (including Email and SMS); Maintain and update editorial style guide and best practices for our programs; Proofread copy from marketing, sales and other parts of the organization as requested; Assign “refresh” copy to writer as necessary ahead of relaunch; Meet/Speak with client to get feedback/direction if necessary; Coordinate with VP-Client Services to make sure production requirements (for content) are met Some specific skills that are required (really, we mean these are a must): Detail-oriented and organized- like so detailed that all the hangers in your closet face the same way:) Fluent and articulate in English- you'll be on the phone and email with clients and writers throughout the day; Grammatically anal writer- since you'll be communicating with our clients, no typos nor poor grammar; Time-Sensitive- All our programs are tracked on a detailed production schedule, and on-time launches are an absolute must. Early or on-time deliverables are the only option, and you'll do whatever it takes to make it happen (from a content standpoint); Quality-minded- While we have QC people to make sure the programs are in tip-top shape before they launch, the content buck stops with YOU. You are the content manager and if there are problems with content from your fleet of writers, you take the heat; Manage a bevy of writers around the world who provide content for our programs; Accessible- Since you'll have writers (and we have clients) in many time zones, you'll need to figure out a way to manage it all expeditiously; So, tell us why you're great and are write for our team (ahem)! P.S. Do a great job and we'll pay bonuses on top of hourly rates.
