I have access to a web panel which is not mine and not hosted by me. I need to control that web panel through a panel which is mine. Is that possible? The panel is a private service, not a common one. It has an API but I think it's very limited to what you can control. Please let me know your experience with similar projects and I'll send you more details. Also write "PAN" in your reply so I know you've read the description. Thanks

Dear QA engineers, I'm looking for several people who had an experience with Codeception and remotely worked with companies doing manual or automated testing for them. I'd like to hear a constructive feedback about one tool which should help companies to quicker get started with automated testing. Also I'm interested about following questions: 1. Did you have situations when companies needed automated tests but they didn't want to do it for some reasons? What the reasons were? 2. If you developed automated tests for remote companies, what issues or difficulties did you have?

We have a PDF "quiz" that we want made into a platform where clients can repetitively review the same questions over time, look back on results and see progression over time. Graphs showing the results would be awesome. We want them to be able to complete the "quiz" multiple times and track which ones they've marked (yes or no format) or didn't mark along with the date of each completion. We want them to be able to log in and have their results be private. Ideally, an email can be sent to remind people it's time to take the assessment again. I would also like to be able to have people be able to add notes to each item so they can review them. Looking for someone who can design this platform for us, should be fairly simple. I've looked for existing platforms with no luck, but I'd be interested to hear if you know of anything. Please be detailed and unique in your application, uniform and generic applications will be ignored.

JOB DESCRIPTION You’ll work within a close-knit team of talented developers, designers and data analysts. Our team has developed an exciting API to integrate with third party database software used by our existing clients. We are also developing an innovative new web application with a mobile app to follow soon. We are great at rapid application development to the prototype stage. Now we need help to implement and, where possible, automate the testing and QA processes that will help us produce robust, scalable client-ready solutions. We're a strong, nimble, flexible body and your work will be the skeleton that allows us to start running. If you join Rare you will go to sleep at night with a full heart, and you will wake up each morning and actually feel excited about coming in to work. We can’t wait to meet you. SUITABLE EXPERIENCE - 2+ years commercial experience of white and black-box manual testing (essential). - Experience working with test management tools and the Atlassian software suite (esp. JIRA and Bamboo) (essential). - Experience of working in an Agile development environment (TDD, BDD, Scrum) (essential) - Experience of testing across mobile and web applications (essential) - Previous exposure to performance and automation tools e.g. Selenium, Cucumber, Behat, Jmeter, SoapUI, etc. (preferred) - Familiarity with PHP, Python and front-end web technologies (preferred) - Good knowledge of relational databases and PostgreSQL (preferred) - Person Specification You will: - Understand Rare’s social purpose and share our values. - Love learning and often end up teaching yourself about interesting subjects. - Be flexible – you will be working on multiple projects for multiple clients at the same time. - Be highly conscientious and have high personal standards of integrity and organisation. - Be commercial and focused on delivering results. - Be tough and resilient and develop robust test plans that allow our software to be the same. - Be comfortable talking to people from a range of ethnic and social backgrounds, and of all genders. - Be collaborative in your approach and focus on the team’s goals as much as personal ones. - Take feedback well. ABOUT RARE RECRUITMENT Valued. Fulfilled. Family. Fun. Friends. Inspired. Energised. Expectant. Excited. Proud. Contented. Eager. Happy. We asked people how they feel about working here. That’s what they said. Now let us tell you why. We’re changing the world. Truly. We’re changing who companies hire and how they hire them. We’re helping people to be better and we’re helping organisations to be smarter, to look not just at someone’s achievements, but to look at the context in which those achievements occurred. We’re helping businesses, and governments, and as many professions as we can, to look more like the communities and the countries that they serve. And now we need your help. When we started, we were tiny. There was one bloke, in the corner of someone else’s office, with an idea, a telephone, and some tenacity. Now there are nearly fifty of us, and we are the best in the world at what we do. We want you to come and make us even better. We would love you to come and work in our office but we are also very open to working with all you talented digital nomads and remote workers. Please let us know which works best for you in your application. We are based in Clerkenwell, London. There are lots of marvellous eateries and places to go for a walk near us and interesting arty things happening. It’s a great area. Our office isn’t bad too – there is always fresh fruit, and other food treats from people who have been hired and chosen to thank us through the universal language of chocolate. Oh, and WE HAVE A ROOF TERRACE AND A BARBEQUE. Yup. We’d like you to start immediately please, and to work on a permanent basis, Monday to Friday 9-5.30 (BST). To apply, please send your CV and a one-page cover letter outlining why you want to join Rare, why you want to do the job, and why you think you would be good at it. Also, to show us that you're on the same page, please tell us what kind of food you would cook on our office barbecue! Please include your availability and your salary expectations too.

Looking for someone who can test and check weebistes, both during edevelopment and once they are live. As examples: * Designer has created a PSD design; developer says the pages have been built to match the design. Is the developer correct - in all details? Or has he missed something or messed up? * Developer has built a page. Looks good on his browser. But what about on other browsers? What about on mobile devices? (We have Browserstack accounts to allow you to test on mobile devices - you don't need the devices.) * Developer says he has fixed some bugs on a website. Has he? And has he broken anything else while he was doing it? * Someone on the team has noticed a bug - something that doesn't work properly... but the problem only occurs occasionally. Try to work out what the rule is - under what conditions is it going wrong? ABOUT US * Small team of freelancers. No office - everyone working from home (from Glasgow and Köln in the north, to Rijeka and Beograd in the south, to Kyiv in the east) - including developers, designers, project management, UX and some video. * Mix of work. Some agency subcontracts on small projects for big brands (to give an idea of the quality we need), some work for start-ups, but most of our work is for established mid-sized companies and NGOs. * Very "northern European" working style - factual, clear, not emotional, and with a strong focus on deadlines. * Communications via Skype and Jira. English is the language of all communication in the team. ABOUT YOU * Good attention to detail, and enjoys the "detective work" of trying to find problems and work out why things don't work. * Fluent or good + confident spoken English. * Any experience in web work would be a plus (e.g. any experience with WordPress, programming, design) - not because we expect you to do any of this, but just as it will help if you have an understanding * Clear communication. * Reliable. HOW TO APPLY * Please let us know in a couple of lines at the start what you think makes you perfect for this - and anything similar that you have done before. * After that any more information about you would be great, but don't go to great effort - don't want to waste anyone's time. * The usual unspoken rules of seasoned UpWork job postings apply - if you contact us off UpWork (Twitter, Skype, phone, email) that is immediately a "no"; if you don't read the brief but just paste a standard sales pitch, that's a "no"; if you lie about what you can do that's a "no"; etc. Thanks for reading!
