We're a Seattle-based platform start-up and are looking for a very hands-on lead developer who will help us shape the future of our company/product. Initially, you'll be the interface of the existing development team working to build out our MVP. If you want to work towards long-term involvement, you could be responsible for building and leading an in-house development team.
Do you have an infectious passion for your work and take ownership of everything you do? Ambition and initiative is the key to success this role. You will help to optimize our existing product, processes, and be critical part of our overall vision.
The two founding partners are in the unique and enviable position to have a significant existing client base of enterprise level customers who are actively waiting for our initial MVP and supporting platform. We have an experienced 3rd party development team we are currently working with and are looking for a lead developer that will initially roll up their sleeves and help do anything to get the MVP built and launched. This includes actual coding, high-level architecture/technology guidance, and helping to lead the dev team with the support of our current product manager.
Our team is made up of highly-respected industry professionals with a rock-solid vision and market demand. While we build out our MVP, our team is bootstrapping and hoping to avoid having to take investors. We're all currently working other full-time jobs in the same market to which we are initially launching our platform - and not taking any salaries until we gain sales traction post-MVP (est. May MVP delivery date). This effectively translates into wont have any major debts or investors we have to answer to and have an income stream waiting on a finished product.
Depending on your skillset, needs, and availability this position could be full time or part time to start with schedule flexibility. Compensation is limited to negotiated equity stake in the company. Once the MVP is delivered mid-year for a series of existing clients and we are able to monetize our platform, this position could become a full-time position, activating the negotiated salary. Further details and supporting information to be discussed upon potential candidates signing an NDA. Salary and Equity to be based on start date (higher the earlier) and skillset.
We're actively looking for the right candidate so If you're an aspiring developer or have CTO aspirations with the following traits, we'd love to hear from you right now:
1. Thick skin and love to debate while listening to those around you. An ability to communicate your opinion with supporting details effectively
2. A desire to be the best at what you do and will research and learn on the job to make that happen
3. Can socialize and work all at the same time - and perhaps be even more effective.
4. You thrive in a laid-back environment and are a true self-starter
5. Formal education credentials not as important as the technology skills you have acquired to get you here today
