We help merchants build, manage and grow e-commerce websites that convert, and apps people love. We love making big impacts in small & mid sized businesses. We align offline and online goals, provide strategy and execution.
As a Magento developer, you will be a key member of a small development team. You will work closely with other team members and be expected to deliver high quality Magento code that follows best practices, and is easy to understand. Timelines are typically aggressive and you will be communicating remotely via Skype, email, Google Docs and any other system(s) deemed necessary.
You will be expected to have thorough understanding of the Magento codebase and have plenty of experience implementing new extensions and design themes along with the ability to manipulate the checkout process, product catalog, admin grids, system configuration, cron facilities, and other Magento sub-systems such as events, order processing and shipping and payment methods.
Perform a mix of new development, bug fixes and infrastructure tasks as required
Write standards-compliant code and perform testing/debugging in multiple browsers
Identify technical challenges and provide feedback to enhance workflow and applications
Collaborate with other developers to complete projects and meet aggressive deadlines
Third party and custom module development and integration
Communicate regularly with team / project lead
Accurately enter daily work logs into our systems
3+ years minimum Magento experience
Thorough knowledge of the Magento frontend, backend, design and extension systems
Thorough knowledge of Magento programming patterns
Experience with the Magento EAV database structure and MySQL
Experience using a version control systems and team development
Knowledge of ecommerce and internet marketing technology and methods
Strong problem solving skills to investigate, debug, and resolve technical issues
Working knowledge of AJAX, Web services, and API
Nice to have experience:
Mobile development experience (Android or iOS)
Graphic manipulation experience (Photoshop)
