I currently am trying to overcome the project below, but am also looking for a long term relationship for future Zapier/Automation projects.
The current price is a placeholder, and the budget is flexible if needed.
geocode a provided text string (randomly formated address from a gravity forms entry) and return both the fastest travel time to the given address from a static address (assuming no traffic) and the address in google maps format. //formatted_address.
I am currently achieving this through importxml in google sheets (Sheet "To Google Calendar" in https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1U_nQBlopypLxgfbIf2rOsOMmxtzwxSk2eaM01LwwZ4I/edit?usp=sharing), but it is duplicating requests when the page is reloaded using up my given number of pings to Google's API and slowing down the performance of the sheet. Also, approximately 30% of the time I receive an error from Zapier "http://prntscr.com/ckp66p".
How to Achieve:
Plan A - If possible find a different way to geocode and retrieve the desired information to prevent having to deal with Zapier errors (giving duplicate entries into Sheets when zap is retried) and prevent the unnecessary increasing of size of thegoogle sheets document.
Plan B - If there is not a better way to geocode an address, then I would like to go with the below route.
I can do all of the below with the exception of deleting a row in Sheets and this is where I would need your help.
1. Form is submitted through Gravity Forms (GF).
2. Entry is entered into Sheet2 where geocoding is done.
1. The address is geocoded into the google format //formatted_address
2. The given address is looked up in Google Maps to find the time that it takes to drive from a static address to the given address (fastest route if not factoring traffic)
3. The travel time and formatted address are passed to an Update Row action where they are entered into Sheet3.
4. Delete the row in Sheet2 after information is copied into Sheet3
Additional issue needing to be resolved in the solution:
A major need that I just noticed is that I need the "unit", "apt", "apartment", "suite", "#" to remain in the formatted address. For example:
Example Form Submission Address: 2600 West 7th St #2516 Fort wORTh 76107 United States
If you search Google Maps is gives the desired formatted address result:
2600 W 7th St #2516, Fort Worth, TX 76107
However, if you pull the formatted address from the api it only gives you:
2600 W 7th St, Fort Worth, TX 76107, USA
See this post for more info if needed:
Is this a task that you would be able to complete? If so, what plan could you accomplish (A or B) and what would your fee be?
I look forward to developing a long term partnership.
