I am looking for a YouTube thumbnail producer for our YouTube channel. I will supervise and direct you, but want someone who has a better eye and mind for this kind of thing than I do and can make good design choices and suggestions beyond my own-not just follow my directions.
Our YouTube channel is here-the thumbnails need to be much better than what I've been doing: https://www.youtube.com/user/TheFearlessManTV/videos
It has been suggested to me that we feature Brian (the personality in the videos)'s face in the corner of the videos (we do want the thumbnail to represent what viewers are going to see, NOT be too click-baity) but that we use more enticing, relevant visuals prominently and that we use the text on the thumbnail to add value to the title, not to repeat the title. So I need someone who can find and manipulate good visuals and make good choices about text on the thumbail.
I would ideally like there to be some kind of template that makes most, if not all of the videos easily recognizable as being from the same channel so people are more likely to click from one of our videos to another in suggested video offerings and search, and recognize the channel over time.
I follow Tim Schmoyer a lot on YouTube, and he is the one who made the above suggestions to me: https://www.youtube.com/user/VideoCreatorsTV
Our thumbnails will be different and less goofy from Tim's-probably more sexy/exciting with women and other related graphic elements-but his general template isn't bad.
-We're limited by the kinds of videos we shoot (usually just Brian in front of the white background), but some of Simple Pickup's thumbnails seem to be on the right track for us: https://www.youtube.com/user/SimplePickup/videos
-Tripp doesn't have the text on his thumbnails, but his visuals are on the right track: https://www.youtube.com/user/TrippAdvice/videos
Pitch me your skills and experience and some kind of short vision/plan inyour cover letter, and then we'll talk.
