Can you build a cloud platform like YouTube? I need a team of back-end programmers to do just that. First phase would be for you to develop a demo site and phase two would be to scale-up.
In other words this is a fun and exciting opportunity that entail challenging tasks and strong teamwork over a period of time.
CommodiTube should be developed to be a website/cloud platform similar to YouTube but for interactive 3D product pack shots used for e-commerce/Webshops instead of videos.
Check out www.productsinteractive.com and try the demos to see what the interactive 3D pictures are all about.
The interactive 3D product pack shots make it possible for an online consumer to pan around the product by flipping it and turning it around in the virtual space in the same way you would if you were holding it in your hand - thereby giving online shoppers a better sense, look and feel about what the product is like before putting it in the online shopping cart and buying it on the webshop.
The CommodiTube website/platform should have the same "look and feel" as YouTube.com but include product pack shots instead of video content.
It must be possible to create a company account from where the interactive 3D pack shots can be uploaded according to the item/bar code - it should be possible to tag, categorise, and so forth in order to make them easy to find. It should be possible to create an API to allow direct feed for companies (account holders) that are using their own CMS system and want easy transfer of pack shots to the CommodiTube site.
Each interactive 3D product pack shot must automatically be given a unique URL that webshops owners can use for their webshops. This way the webshop owners will stream product pack shots from the CommodiTube platform instead of their own e-commerce platform.
Wave 1 in the project:
The first task for your team would be to develop a demo site that would work according to the above specifications but on a small scale. This is what this Job Post is about
Wave 2 in the project:
This would be where we scale-up and develop the fully functional version. The timing, budget, etc. will up for discussion later.
Here is the technical info about the YouTube back-end architecture. I would expect your team to have competencies within these areas in order to be able to develop something similar - please check out this link before applying:
