We require an interactive display to show point totals for a number of teams. Each team is awarded points through a database backend (SQL). For each point allocated a reason is given. We need the name awarded the point, team (in the team colour), reason, the name of the person awarding the point and amount of points to appear in a list (customisable maximum number). The lines of text somehow need to translate into a graphical representation of each teams total amount of points.
The current solution is test tubes with the different levels representing the amount of points each teams has, compared. Underneath these are text with the last 4 points allocated with the name of the person the point is awarded to, the number of points, the team name, the name of the person who awarded the point, and the reason. It is created in HTML5 but is very basic.
New solution idea
In a Harry Potter themed environment, the text is written dynamically by a wand. When all the text has finished writing, the text would turn into a type of sparkling dust, and travel up to the appropriate container and fill it.
The new solution is an idea we had, but I'm sure the right person could come up with something better. The final product must be compatible and view well with anything from an iPhone or iPad, to a large desktop, 1920x1080. We would ideally like the information to update on each refresh.
This is a unique opportunity to create something bespoke as there is nothing else out there that exists.
Just to clarify, the data is all held in the MySQL database and will need to be sourced from there. What we are looking for is the front end.
I have been told that the concept isn't possible, I'm looking for someone who can make it possible.
