I'm looking for someone who can help me find the original / authentic Persian for a couple verses from Omay Khayyam's Rubaiyyat. I know the original English verse (translated by Edward Fitzgerald)
"A Book of Verses underneath the Bough,
A Jug of Wine, A Loaf of Bread—and Thou
Beside me singing in the Wilderness—
Oh, Wilderness were Paradise enow!"
I would like to verifiably have the original Persian poetry.
I'm going to have this printed out on canvas and placed into a small frame (probably with English on top and Persian on bottom), if that makes sense. If you can do any kind of Persian calligraphy, that would be even better - would love to have this be a little fancier.
For simply identifying the right Persian text, I expect this will be an extremely short task (less than an hour). If you can do the calligraphy, maybe a little longer.
Looking forward to speaking with you!
