We are an international publishing company with a growing audience. We put a lot of stock in helping our female audience and would like to enhance our marketing presence through use of creative media and advertisements.
WHAT WE'RE SEEKING:
A cartoonist/2D artist who can turn illustrations into cartoon mini movies. We have a great illustrator who will create the illustrations/characters - and your job is to turn them into a 2D cartoon that has the look & feel of a Disney movie and create mini movies on a Disney level (before they switched from 2D to 3D; frame changes, background, etc), as well as emoji videos like this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCWvtyg0Nsw
You must have the ability to meet tight deadlines, take direction well, work with an online team of creative professionals, and come to the table with your own creative ideas. Ideally we want someone who will become familiar with our message and be able to translate that into cartoons/advertisements.
We have a wide range of script genres (with highlights on humor and more classical approaches). You must have a strong talent, and have great communication skills and ability (you MUST have internet access and be able to conference call through Skype because our team members are spread throughout the globe and we are a 100% virtual company). You must be able to collaborate without ego getting in the way (this translates as having a thick skin because your final vision for a piece may need edited and there will be a lot of hands working on the same project to achieve the same goal, so you aren’t able to take criticism well, this is not a good fit —remember, it’s not a comment on your work, but a comment on how the company wants to represent itself and share their message with over 90,000 women).
The work you do for us will be showcased internationally and it has the potential to turn in a long-term job for you with big growth potential. You will work on a trial basis of 90 days before we can see if this is a good fit. This is a 40-hour per week full-time long-term project. You’ll be required to sign an NDA and contract.
You MUST be extremely responsible. (I'm talking about VERY responsible... not the "This usually doesn't happen, but it happened again" type).
HOW TO APPLY
1.) Please send us your resume, a link to your reel or YouTube Channel, a well-written, succinct cover letter that includes an answer to the question: “What would your last 3 bosses/clients say are your strengths and weaknesses?” You may need to contact one or more of them to flesh out your answer.
2.) This is only for you if you can work 30+ hours per week (ideally 40). Please let us know what your expected monthly salary (per month in USD) for this long-term job is.
3.) Please put into the first line of your response “Flash Animator Superstar”. Applications without this first line will be ignored.
We thank you for your valuable time and look forward to reading—and hopefully producing—your work!
