I need a detail oriented journalist/writer to edit reports, press releases, and research that I provide and create short and interesting posts for our blog. Some of the material I have is lengthy and laden with jargon and not that accessible to a wider audience. It's great research, so you won't need to fact check, or go trawling through Google for material, I have it laid on. It's more a matter of creating shorter, punchy pieces that people will actually read from this source material. I also have regular press releases coming in from my media team. We need to format these for a general audience on Facebook to understand. I need you to be good at writing headlines that are catchy, but not too click baity. I'll often be producing videos with these articles, so I might need your input on video scripts as well. This will be a fun and reliable gig for a candidate that keeps in communication with me, is able to come up with creative solutions, and delivers the goods reliably. We'll do a few posts to see how we go, but then I intend for this to become a regular gig.

We are looking for editors to edit online articles between approximately 500-2000 words each. Sometimes heavy edits are required, and a little fact-checking research may be necessary. Must be well versed in AP style and experienced in CMS systems such as Wordpress (we have a custom in-house CMS that we'll train you to use). ***To be considered, please complete this editing test and attach it to your response: Edit the mechanic's response in the attached document using Suggesting mode in Google Docs or Track Changes in Microsoft Word. (Yes, it's terribly written. Please edit instead of starting anew.)
