Our servers live on AWS using ELB, routed to Varnish, routed to our web front-end. The only thing that Varnish is doing is determining, based on the URL coming in, how to re-write the URL and forward it along. I’m assuming we can do this with an httpd.conf file and cut varnish out of the loop. Then we can more easily utilize AWS-ELB to spin-up multiple EC2 web servers as we have peaks in our loads (right now varnish is a bottleneck). We believe this to be a quick job with someone who knows Varnish and Apache config files, in particular. Frankly, we can give you the Varnish rules and if you really know Apache, you'll likely be able to re-configure the config file to give us what we need. Could lead to on-going projects.

I have a project that uses: CentOS v.6 Apache Tomcat Apache Lucee (ColdFusion) SVN Administration I need support in configuring a dev virtual machine's settings for Apache, and Apache TomCat routing. I have full documentation for my project and have the virtual machine running. My basic needs are someone who is skilled with Linux Administration with Apache and so forth. Here are the requirements from the client among other tasks we need to implement. ######################### We use a separate apache web server (beyond Tomcat) because that most closely simulates our live environment (which is CentOS), and Apache does various things beyond what Tomcat does. We'll talk much more about this down the line. But the request flow on your local machine is: Static content: Client request -> Apache -> Client Client request -> Apache -> Tomcat/Lucee (cfml proceseed) -> Apache -> Client This is achieved through a reverse proxy configured in each apache virtualhost....
