Hey Guys, We need help to identify a sensor type and part number to detect the tension on the 6 individual strings of a guitar. We also need a simple method to incorporate them into a fixed guitar bridge or at the ferrules where the strings pass through the guitar body. The reason we need to detect the tension on the guitar string, is to detect the Pitch Bend applied to each individual string and use it to accurately send pitch-bend by MIDI. We have already designed and released an excellent MIDI guitar system and very accurate pitch-bend sensing will be an big extra feature for the musician. The 6 individual sensors, will ideally be relatively economical to buy and can somehow be incorporated into the guitar to sense pressure changes on the string ball end. This will in turn pass a signal to our MCU which can then accurately detect and send the pitch bend. Note that the strings are fitted through ferrules from the back of the guitar so the sensors could most likely be incorporated there somehow. Design drawings are available where necessary. We hope that the successful applicant can identify 3 basic options by the end of the coming week that can then be explored further. If you think you can help us identify this sensor, I would be more than happy to hear from you :-) So please get in touch! Thanks, Rob

Looking for a person who can create a PCB File for an Arduino MEGA Shield. The required Shield is similar to the one attached in the job description. ... Also y need to be able to add a pull-down resistor or a pull-up resistor depending on the type if sensor that i am adding to my Arduino. I also need to be able to switch the voltage between 3.3V and 5V on each port or pin. ... I must have a connection for power supply and that will provide power supply for the Arduino itself. A 5V and 3.3V regulador must be added aswell to the design.

The architecture of this "Food Computer" consists in a Grown Recipes server (Django) for all clients to connect to, a Raspberry PI on the device, connected to Arduino + sensors + actuators. We will have to determine whether we use the MIT Open Agriculture Lab code as a starting point : https://github.com/OpenAgInitiative or develop from scratch.
