I'm looking for someone to do my podcast edits and show notes for me! I launched my podcast last month and have been doing everything myself but am now ready to have other people handle pieces of it for me. My podcast is called Startup Boston, during which I interview different founders and investors in the Boston startup scene. You can find it on iTunes, Soundcloud, Stitcher, and startupbostonpodcast dot com. Each episode is 30-60 minutes. Currently releasing 3 episodes/week but will be reduced to one per week starting in November. Initially I may need your help to catch up on previously recorded episodes that have yet to be edited and finished. What I need done: I need you to edit the podcast and remove the background hiss, excessive "umms", "like", and other annoyances. Remove long periods of silence Remove the beginning until the interview actually starts Make me sound awesome Add a pre-recorded intro and outro that I will send over with each new episode. Add music with the intro and outro that I will provide. Write the shownotes at least as well as I have them now. (This includes a brief overview of the person being interviewed, a list of the most interesting topics covered in the episode, and links to everything mentioned in the episode. You can find examples at startupbostonpodcast dot com. Edit ID3 tags In the future I may have you upload to Libsyn for me as well. Experience with this is a plus. Bonus points. I may also choose someone to do the following to help me: If you can do research before an interview about the person I will be interviewing, their company, competitors, and industry, and provide me with this information, links to where you found the info, and potential questions to ask them. (I can provide examples of the question sheets I use today) Currently, I use Audacity but you may use any program you prefer. To adjust the audio in Audacity I use: Background Noise Reduction, Compressor, and limiter. Doing this along with writing shownotes, editing ID3 tags, and uploading to Libsyn typically takes me 2 to 4 hours depending on the episode. I will work with a couple people on a trial basis to start to make sure we are a good fit for each other before committing to one person. All payments and time tracking will go through UpWork but we will eventually communicate on a different platform such as Asana, Producteev, or Slack to make communicating and sharing files easier. Previous experience with these is a plus. Bonus points if the topics of my episodes are of interest to you. You MUST have great English skills. This job requires not only writing but also listening to English audio which at times may include people who speak very quickly and/or have a non-american accent and it is very important that you are able to understand what they are saying. Please let me know why you believe I should choose you and any relevant experience you have. This is for ongoing work with the ability to take on more responsibility over time. Thanks so much!

I have a big project for Unity 3D. I need to complete this project in 20 weeks. Developer should have to know wide range knowledge in Unity 3D. Project is building a karaoke VR app using Unity and running on the HTC Vive. Firstly I will test to enable users to sing through a USB microphone connected to the PC running the app and have their voice come out amplified through the PC speakers. As of now, using the built-in Unity microphone features, I am seeing unacceptable lag/latency of 220 msec. I need to find a way to reduce this to under 40 msec. Write a word "complete" in you bid top. This may require clever settings within Unity or building a separate Windows DLL. The problem is described here (mine is the first comment): Note that a VR system (e.g. HTC Vive) is NOT required for this project. I just need a mic running through Unity on a Windows PC with under 40msex latency. Ready to start ASAP. I would expect this to be an 8-16 hour test. I can send a small Unity project to demonstrate for test. If you can do it, have do this project. Please apply asap. Good luck.

We had a few voice actors record about 40 safety warning messages in a single take. Each individual safety warning message takes 5-10 seconds. Each actor produced a single MP3 file containing all of the warning messages. The MP3 files are about 5-10 minutes each. We need an audio engineer to: 1) Split the single MP3 file into a series of smaller MP3 files, one for each message, naming each according to a list we will provide. 2) Standardize the silence delay at the beginning of each file to about 500ms. 3) Adjust gain so that all messages are approximately the same playback volume and are at a reasonably high level. 4) Name each file according to a predetermined list of file names (we will provide this in a spreadsheet). 5) For a few selected tracks, add a chime before the spoken message. 6) Standardize the output quality to 320Kbps MP3 This is a simple job, and should take less than 30 minutes per voice actor.
