We had a few voice actors record about 40 safety warning messages in a single take. Each individual safety warning message takes 5-10 seconds. Each actor produced a single MP3 file containing all of the warning messages. The MP3 files are about 5-10 minutes each. We need an audio engineer to: 1) Split the single MP3 file into a series of smaller MP3 files, one for each message, naming each according to a list we will provide. 2) Standardize the silence delay at the beginning of each file to about 500ms. 3) Adjust gain so that all messages are approximately the same playback volume and are at a reasonably high level. 4) Name each file according to a predetermined list of file names (we will provide this in a spreadsheet). 5) For a few selected tracks, add a chime before the spoken message. 6) Standardize the output quality to 320Kbps MP3 This is a simple job, and should take less than 30 minutes per voice actor.

Hi! I'm starting a podcast and would like to work with an audio production engineer who can perform editing to the recorded interviews. I imagine the process would be (but open to negotiation and your ideas): 1. I send 2 WAV files via Dropbox or Google Drive (1 is the host's audio, the other is the guest audio) and notify you via the Slack communication app. I will also send you a private link to the interview on Soundcloud with comments as to specific edits needed. 2. You perform noise reduction on the files (Audition quality noise reduction or equivalent) 3. You adjust/filter EQ so that distracting low or high level frequencies are rolled off (not too boomy, but not too flat/tinny). 4. You mix and balance the two tracks levels so the guest and host are at similar levels. 5. You make edits as indicated from comments on the Soundcloud link. 6. You edit out any Ummms, ahhs, and akward gaps (unless it sounds awkward/unnatural to do that) 7. You compress the track/s so as to maximise audibility without clipping or being over-compressed. 8. You send the bounced audio file back in Dropbox/Google Drive (along with the working files in case I need to make an urgent tweak) and then notify me via Slack that it's done. Each interview is between 1-1.5 hours long. Hopefully the work doesn't take more than 3 hours per episode. And turnaround times would preferably be within 3 business days. But open to negotiation on these timeframes. This job will have an initial task that I can use to test how we go working together. This first interview has a lot of umms and ahhs to edit out, so a harder one to start with than usual, but a good test. If we work well together, I hope to be able to work with you on an ongoing basis. I plan to release an episode every week, but some weeks I might need multiple episodes edited.

We are a programming school teaching web development (HTML, CSS, Javascipt, Node.js, Angular, mongo, docker etc.). You can help us with creating educational screencast series about certain programming topics. We give you a rough outline (for example: lesson#1: explain that we'll build the search form of Instagram, lesson#2: create a simple HTML form using FORM, INPUT and BUTTON, lesson#3: style the form with CSS using x, y and z properties etc.), so you have to be comfortable with programming HTML, CSS & Javascript. You write a detailed outline, then you record a series of 3-5 min long screencasts (audio + video, about you making a small program). We start with a smaller project to get to know each other, but there are lots of content to be created later on.

Hi, I am taking some raw video for an observational documentary about the life of some of my employees. I run a local service for older people. We provide services in the community like companionship, conversation, housework, shopping, meal preparation, assistance with bathing, dressing, medication reminders and many more. Our Caregivers encourage, assist and stimulate our clients in a variety of daily activities to help them to stay independent and happy in their own homes as long as possible. Please visit our website for more information. The video I want to create is for attracting the public to work in this sector. A lot of people are hesitant about working in care in the UK because they are not sure what it entitles. Through the video, I want to answer the question "Can you work as a Caregiver?" with a solid "Yes you can!". Also, the key message is that "anybody can make a difference, all you need is to have the desire to help others.". I want a video similar to this one Google "A day in the life of a Caregiver" and find the video by an organisation called AARP. It is a 2.17 s video that shows the life of 8 Caregivers throughout the day. Even though these are family Caregivers and mine are paid Caregivers, the feeling and content can be very similar. If you can produce something like this from raw video, please do contact me. If this is successful we'll do many more together. You can be anywhere in the world since I can just post the raw videos online for you to edit.

We are looking for a musician to provide scoring for trailers and other related media. The ideal candidate will have industry standard music production skills, great communication and the ability to work with the tight deadlines that this type of work requires. Our budget is $40 per finished minute of music, but we might negotiate with a candidate that exhibits exceptional skills. Ocassionally, we might request the sheet music, so that the piece can be recorded by an actual ensemble. Candidates that can fill both roles (composer and sheet music provider) will get special consideration. But feel free to apply if you can do either, we want to get the highest quality possible and if that means you are an expert in only one of these, then we will hire two people. Also, to make sure that you've read this posting, please let me know what your favorite movie is. We are looking forward to your messages. Thanks.

We currently have a language learning game (Arabic -> English) published for mobile devices (Android - While we already have a game studio working on the game development, we need an audio engineer who can provide the appropriate audio files whenever audio effects are needed e.g., : - light blasts - walking - flying carpet - exploding blocks - background music depending on whether it's a battle scene or flying You don't need to create original audio. You just need to have a good ear (and eye) for where new audio needs to be added or changed. e.g., elementary school kids (grades 1 - 6) have commented that the sound of flying carpet sounds like flapping birds or how the boy walks sounds like a horse walking. So we need an audio engineer who knows how to make this sound like a fun, family friendly game. As we add more scenes to the game, we'll need more audio effects so we'll constantly be contacting you. We're relying on you to ensure that all the audio effects and music fit the whole theme of a child-friendly game (ages 6 - 11).
