We are developing an electronic water quality monitoring device. The device has some sensors such as pH, Oxidation Reduction Potential (ORP), Electrical Conductivity (EC) and Temperature. Using these measured parameters, we also want to estimate other water quality parameters such as Total Alkalinity (TA), Calcium Hardness (CH), Free Chlorine (FC), etc. For this, we're looking for a water/aquatic chemistry expert who can perform the following tasks: 1. Provide expert consultancy on various water quality parameters and their measurement using sensors (error, drift, calibration, reliability, etc.) 2. Provide/derive/develop theoretical relationships/formulae for deriving the estimated parameters from the measured parameters 3. Validate the formulae experimentally over a wide set of water samples The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree in Chemistry, preferably with a background/expertise in Aquatic Chemistry and hands-on experience performing water quality measurements. The candidate should be a self-starter and be able to work with minimal supervision. More details available to applicants to review upon request.

I have veneer sheets of nacre that are .15 mm thick, that i would like to laminate with a urethane coating. I need a chemist specializing in urethane coatings to help identify a urethane, that will allow me to seal the veneer and give UV protection. Similar to an automotive clear coat, but can be applied with a brush or plastic spreader. The coating needs to be light-fast, UV resistant, and allow for flex of the veneer. I would like to have the ability to either dip into the urethane and hang dry, or use a spreader to apply a very thin laminate coat around .10 mm I have tested spraying tinted clear enamels using my airbrush which do not adhere well. I may need some kind of adhesion promoter, like Chemcraft ISOLANTE or similar.

Hello, The project is to create a quantitative analysis of water condensation rate from the air with the following variables: - Humidity level - Condensation surface area and thermal properties - Rate of air flow - Temperature Ideally, I would like to define the formula, and then create an excel sheet with place-holders for these variables to be entered to produce a condensation rate in ml/ hour result. If you are interested, please demonstrate knowledge on the topic, and provide an estimate of the number of ours required.
