We have acquired more space in our current office and are looking to do something completely amazing and unexpected in it! We have came up with a design - but now we are looking for someone to help develop the concept to make the design CNC ready. REQUIREMENTS: - This project requires an expert level CAD/ 3D Modeler/ Draftsman. - We just need YOU to review our concept- further develop them- and provide us with the necessary drawings/ files in order to send to CNC operators - We are leasing the space - so the unit needs to be modular and easily relocated! - We need at least 2’-4” opening in the hidden door (in the open position) - Access holes for electrical wiring - Door needs to be completely hidden - Door to be electronically opened by a button/ pulling a book... etc. - You must be able to provide work samples demonstrating relevant experience and an expert in your field Please message us and we will provide you with our drawings and concepts so you can provide an accurate bid!

I have a sketch and a crude physical mockup of a product that I would like to prototype. I need it designed on a computer so I can get it either 3d printed or CNC milled (not sure which one but both formats to do so would be nice). The end goal is to use these design files to get a few prototypes made (one plastic, one metal), then possibly make adjustments on design after prototyping. The product is really just 2 standard existing, easy to find specs for products - created as one, with a small modification that I also need to it after combining them. It fits in the palm of your hand and has no moving parts to it, it's the size of a larger bottle cap, and should weighs less than a few ounces (depending on final material). What I can give you to start: a brief more detailed overview of the product, some design specs to reference for it, my sketch up, a photo of my crude physical design, & photos of finished products similar to what I'm looking for. What I want from you: sign a standard NDA/IP agreement, all files associated with and sketch ups of the product, all the files associated with product design that allow the product to be printed with a higher quality 3d printer, all the files associated with product design that allow the product to be milled on a CNC precision machine, & product design advice. We are looking for a Solidworks or other CAD professional to render both STEP files and PDF mechanical drawings for 28+ parts we are looking to have drawn. For each part, we will need both. I would like to break the parts in to shorter runs of 8-10 parts. I would like each run to be completed in 5-7 days. Please see attached for a PDF example of what we are looking for. This document represents the PDF deliverable for each part. Most parts will look very similar to this, although some will vary in form factor. The part, screws and packaging all need to be detailed in the PDF per this example. In addition to the PDF, I will need the .SLDPRT, .STEP and .SLDDRW files for each part. I have the parts boxed, labeled and ready for shipment anywhere in the world. This will be one of several runs of part drawings. CAD to CAM for a complex shape, with focus on efficiency/speed and detail. Mix of raster, cut out and pocket tool paths. Starting from ipt or stp, creating gcode. With simulation so we can estimate actual cutting times. The part will have to be flipped because we are working with a simple 3-axis machine called Shopbot Alpha. We have already done some work in a program called PowerMill Pro 2016. So if you have experience using this program, this would be a big plus. Alternatively, if you can load code/models created by this program, and then work from it, this is also very good. Work also requires occasionally designing peg-board style jigs for holding the part in place. Thank you!

In the past, our company has purchases thousands of small parts from injection mold companies in china. Sometimes, we get our molds as cheap as $3500. I'm starting a new venture now, and the parts are much much bigger, but also simpler. So, I've decided it's probably going to save the company many thousands of dollars for us to do the injection molding in house as needed. It also saves time waiting for the molds. Especially if mistakes are made. I'm an engineer, so I can do the CAD and CAM (CNC) also. The problem is that I can't get enough information online to jump into injection molding without making mistakes. I'd like to hire someone that has done injection molding and knows how to design molds and knows how to buy the metal and CNC it. That way, I can learn from someone that has done it before and avoid any mistakes I might otherwise make. We might also want your help adjusting the parts slightly to improve the mold results and teach us how to evaluate the mold for desired quality and tolerances.
