Job Description We are developing an open source framework called Vizabi (www.github.com/gapminder/vizabi), which includes the following Bubble Chart: http://bl.ocks.org/angieskazka/ed82b664173a9023fa8a Your task will be to continue the development of the Bubble Chart, include new features, solve bugs and maintain it, using our Vizabi framework. Required skills include Javascript, D3.js and CSS. We need somebody who will be very much involved in what we are doing and at the same time self-sufficient enough in solving the issues. Notes: - We use GitHub for code sharing and issues. You will need to provide your GitHub username and commit code on Github. - We'll need to have an introductory meeting before you start. We're looking for someone who can do a great job at challenging and interesting interactive data visualization projects. Our ideal candidate can: * Design outstanding, imaginative interactive data visualizations of complex data sets, including 3D data representations * Build interactive web/ mobile-based data visualizations using tools such as HTML5, d3.js, Processing, InfoVis, three.js, WebGL etc.etc. However we are also open to candidates who are outstanding at either information design or interactive visualization development, and can communicate well with or project manage other skilled creatives to generate a fantastic end product. We are particularly interested in people who can come up with interesting ideas for visualizations that will attract sophisticated audiences. We have an initial data set on global city data we'd like to build into an interactive visualization, but our main objective is to find someone we can work with on an ongoing basis.
