I am a US citizen and starting as a business consultant freelancer. I am currently considering a contract position in the UK or Switzerland for 4-6 months. I don't quite qualify for foreign tax status, though I am nomadic and spend most of the year abroad in various countries. I am looking for a tax consultant to: 1. Help me understand taxes as a freelancer in general 2. Help me understand how taxes would work for this particular project in terms of EU, US Federal, and US State taxes 3. Develop an optimal tax strategy: - File as an individual or start a business as a freelancer - US State to file in (if necessary) - Other key considerations
