I'm looking for an ElasticSearch guru, a true wizard, like the Gandalf of Nodes; someone more passionate about ElasticSearch than a 14 year old is about Harry Potter (or Таня Гроттер, as the case may be). I'm looking for someone to accomplish the following: 1) Review the ElasticSearch configuration on the current (live) server. This ElasticSearch DB is currently in use. I'd need for this expert to summarize the deficiencies and inefficiencies (ex., ES_HEAP_SIZE is not set but should be? Are nodes properly configured?) and provide that summary to me. Note: this doesn't have to be an essay or overly technically detailed! I need to know what's going on (For example: I have inefficiency X, this is caused by problem Y, I can fix by doing Z. Or: the service is running well, but can be optimized by doing ABC. Or: Your ElasticSearch is perfectly optimized and functioning as it should. No further action is necessary.). Notably, as the last example suggests, if everything if well configured and does not need any changes, I would still like a summary of the key elements, and your confirmation that they are properly configured. 2) Install the newest version of ElasticSearch on a new CentOS 7 machine. 3) Considering our website use and goals (what you've seen on the live server, and also anything I've told you), I'd need you to configure the new ElasticSearch installation so that it's the set up properly and best optimized for our needs. 4) Recommend ElasticSearch monitoring and management plugins - if any - that would provide insight and oversight of ES (Bigdesk? Kopf?). The target users would be 1) the lead developer, and 2) myself. I have less technical skills, so for my purposes, it should be straightforward to use. Again, if you feel nothing is appropriate or necessary, there's no reason to recommend! 5) Install add-ons - if any - after consultation. 6) Remain available in the months (and longer?) ahead for continuous periodic review of the ES db, updates, and configuration improvements, etc. ***In your bid, please note qualifying ElasticSearch experience not listed on your profile, and anything specific that you feel demonstrates your mastery of ElasticSearch. Just FYI, the the site is written in Python and uses Nginx server. Also, please note I much prefer to use the Upwork activity tracker. Thanks!
