We currently have our emails and website and a few custom scripts running on a computer in one of our offices on an adsl2+ connection. It has been great in the past but we are growing and now it is struggling just to keep up with emails. We have purchased a hosting package with hosted emails/website aswell as a barebones VPS... I want to minimise downtime but I would like for somebody to setup and move the website, emails and these custom scripts (might get the developer to do the custom scripts) to the new hosting system and then finally deal with the DNS shuffle once it is all set up. I want somebody who knows their stuff. I dont want to be explaining to somebody what FTP is. Old server is running debian linux. New hosting is with Crucial hosting in Sydney. I really would like to find an absolute guru who can assist us in the future whenever we have a linux need.

I'm having a problem with a program I've written to automate connection to Yahoo Instant Messenger. My program uses libpurple, the core of the pidgin package. I'm having trouble connecting to yahoo on one of my linux servers. Googling the error makes it seem like a network/proxy issue. This is an area where I have limited knowledge, so I need help. More details about the program and the problem: I've recently written a small C program which uses libpurple, the core of the Pidgin package. The C program is written based off a sample program found here: http://libpurple.com/writing-your-first-instant-messaging-program I have 2 linux servers. The first is running Ubuntu. It has no GUI installed. The program connects to yahoo with no problem on this server. The second server is running Debian. This server has a GUI installed (I believe Gnome, but may be wrong.) The server does not have any monitor attached to it; I just connect to it with putty. I'm mentioning the GUI just in case it's important...

We have a product that needs to be implemented in a large company. The product uses MS SQL Server as its database and is a winforms application developed using Visual Studio. Remote Access to the application is required across the country and a solution suggested is a thin client application server like RemoteApp / Citrix. We need a very experienced person who can help us size the servers, design the network for optimal performance with remote access and also document the setup professionally.

We are looking to move our Amazon EC2 instances into a VPC. We have created a test VPC environment with 1 public subnet, and 3 private subnets. Successfully created a VPN connection from our office to the VPC in which we can ping and nmap the private IPs of the instances in any of the subnets. The issue that we are having is that even though we can see that port 22 is open, we are unable to connect (SSH) to any of the machines through their private IPs. Therefore, we are looking for someone who can take a look at what we've done and fix any issue that would prevent us to access the machines from a VPN connection.

We are installing Linksys WRT54gl router into local hotspot venues network topology. Depending on the venue the inclusion of another device will change the routing. Therefore, we would like assistance deploying these routers over the next month we plan to have 29 additional Hotspot venues. These installation must take less than 1 hour. As we would prefer to have Internet service interuption at a minimum. Trouble shooting, IP Mapping, Routing configuration, and virtual assistance using Team Viewer is a must.
