I need help developing a custom Flask based web application which is capable of displaying reports (tables, charts, etc.) using data from a Postgres database. The solution must be deployed in a Windows environment (sorry, I know it's not the ideal OS for must of us). I have already modeled the database schema which includes all the fields, data types and the relationships between the tables (up to 5 tables max). I'm in the process of writing up a Python script which will populate the tables within the database. The purpose of this custom application is to simply do queries on existing data within the Postgres database and to generate reports comprising of tables and graphs. I should be able to click on certain fields within the tables to drill down for more information. I already have a Windows server setup with remote desktop configured to serve as a staging /dev server during development. The server IP and logon credentials will be provided. I may need assistance setting up and migrating the web application files and the database from the staging/dev server to the production server. I am looking for someone who can provide guidance on best practices and is willing to provide ideas/suggestions on how to best implement various requirements. I will be maintaining this application in the future, so detailed documentation in the form of comments will be required.
